Preparation Day 3
john-royle-569346-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Thank you for joining me here for the last day of preparation.  You're already showing great dedication to your journey.  The past two days we've looked at expectation and obstacles, and today we ponder motivation.

Do you have previous experiences in talking with God?  In hearing from Him?  In receiving revelation knowledge from Him?  Or is this "hearing from God" thing new to you?  It's really very easy;  there's no mystery.  God desires nothing greater than to be in relationship with you and has provided prayer as a way to communicate with Him; simply talking to Him and waiting to hear what He has to say.  I'm not referring to audibly hearing from God, but He will give you impressions deep in your spirit of what He wants you to know.

God is infinite, and no matter where we are in our current relationship with Him, we can always grow deeper.  Any good relationship takes time and commitment from both parties.  It takes honesty and openness to flourish.

Are you ready to go deeper with God?  Are you hungry for more of Him?  When you're extra sleepy on day 15, and you're thinking about skipping your time with Him, what will get you out of bed and excited to meet your King?  Here is where you need to dig deep and check your true motivation.  Take time to "selah" these questions today.

God has so much love for each one of us, and has blessing in store as we walk with Him on our 40 Day Journey.  Thanks for preparing.  You won't regret the work.

Love and Blessings,

Kendra

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?

Preparation Day 2
obstacles.jpeg

Good Morning Beauties!

Thank you for meeting me here again as we continue to prepare for our journey.  The next step is to identify any and all obstacles that may hinder your journey.  Once identified, a plan of action to overcome these barriers is created.  Only you know what they may be for your journey, and only you can create the action plan to defeat them.  Please consider praying for God's help with this step.

One of the biggest obstacles I found myself, as well as many other women, is time.  The success of the journey requires time.  Time to pray, journal and listen to God.  You may have heard, "The enemy created busyness."  I'm not sure if that is exactly true.  We are all responsible for our own schedules and saying no to activities when needed.  The truth is we have to make time for those things we give priority.  So here's the question, do you prioritize your relationship with God?

If time is one of your road blocks, consider getting up earlier than you do now, before the rest of your family.  You will want to go to bed earlier, but it's something  you can do for just 40 days.  I can hear the resistance already, but I ask you, "Are you worth it?  Is growing deeper with God worth it?  Is transformation worth it?"

Remember, you identify the obstacles that will prevent you from completing  your journey from day 1 through to day 40.  Once identified, you create the action plan.  You may want to write your action plan in your journal along with a commitment statement to yourself for motivation when needed.

I'm praying for you today as you complete this important step of preparation.

Love and Blessings,

Kendra

And it shall be said, ‘Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstruction from my people’s way.’

Preparation Day 1
matt-howard-223043-unsplash copy.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to our 40 Day Journey together and our first preparation day.  Are you filled with anticipation to see what God has in store for you?  Are you ready for change?  For growth?

As with any journey you take, the care in which you prepare will determine success.  Today let's think about expectations of the journey.  Do you feel "stuck" and hope to find release?  Are you broken hearted and need healing?  Are you moving in your God given purpose and ready to step up to the next level in your relationship with God?  Take time to ponder what exactly you want from this journey experience.  Throughout our time together, we'll come back to these expectations and determine if we're "on track" for meeting them.

The purpose of the 40 Day Journey is to silence the lies of the enemy and replace them with the revealed Truth of God.  Remember, once the lies move from our thoughts in our minds to our hearts, they become our beliefs.  We need heart surgery for proper healing.  Are you willing to open your heart and let the surgeon do His work? Are you ready for transformation?

I'm so glad you've decided to take this journey.  You are Brave, Courageous, and Beautiful!

Love and Blessings,

Kendra

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Day of Reflection
robb-leahy-512379-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Today is a day to reflect on your 40 Day Journey experience. Like I said at the beginning of the book, everyone will experience a different journey. What was your's like? What lies did God silence? What are the Truths you now believe deep down in your heart? Can you write them down to remind you of the work you did on your journey?

What was the result of your journey as it relates to the 3 Days of Preparation? Did it meet your expectations? Why or Why not? Did the plans you made to overcome obstacles work? Were there unexpected obstacles? How was your motivation throughout the 40 days? Were you thirsty and ready to meet with God each day, or did some days feel less than exciting? There are no right answers, only honest ones.

I pray you have a greater knowledge and belief in who you are in Christ, and that you will experience greater freedom in your daily journey; freedom to be your True self and to fulfill your God given purpose.

If you have had a positive experience, I pray you will consider sharing your story with other women in your life. Jesus asks us to share what we've seen and heard as a witness of His ministry. I pray that you will also consider sharing about your journey on my website to encourage others to take their own 40 Day Journey with God, so they can also be set free from lies and deception into the glorious light of Love and Truth.

It has been a privilege and honor to have been a part of your journey of healing and restoration. I continue to pray for you and the blessed future God has in store. All joy and peace to you as we move forward in praise and adoration of our King for all that He's done and all that He's going to do.

Day 40 "And You are Beautiful"
ben-white-147268-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Happy Easter and Congratulations on completing your 40 Day Journey! I pray that your hearts are full and overflowing with the love of Christ and the knowledge of who you truly are in Him.

The resurrection of Christ was a game changer! He LIVES so that we may live, which brings us full circle to John 10:10. "The thief (enemy) comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I (Jesus) came that they (you and me) may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows]." The life Jesus came to give us is not just when we get to Heaven, though it will be glorious. No, He came to give us life right here and now.

Celebrate BIG today! Jesus is risen and you are renewed! You are a Child of God...and You are Beautiful.

Enjoy your day and meet me back here tomorrow morning as we reflect on your entire 40 Day Journey.

Day 39 "You are a Child of GOD"
ben-white-138743-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

We are almost to the end of our journey together, so please don't coast to the finish line. God has so much to say in these last two days. Let's soak in every last drop He has for us.

The word freedom keeps coming to my mind today when I think about being a child of God. He protects, so we can take risks. He loves, so we can make mistakes. He provides, so we can feel secure. We are free to be the women He created us to be. Strong, confident, loving, kind, game changers.

The Bible describes what it means to be a child of God this way, "For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." Romans 8:14-18

Listen close to the words of this song and reflect on your journey. Selah.

Day 38 "Treasured by our Lord"
Adoration-Featured.png

Good Morning Beauties!

God's timing is magnificent! It is glorious that today, on Good Friday, the day that Jesus died for us, that we focus on being treasured by our Lord. He is so AWESOME!!!

On my very first journey, this is the Truth that healed a very deep wound. The scripture He gave me on my very first Day 38 was Deuteronomy 7:6, "For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession." And.....mic drop!

That TRUTH was the very thing that my heart and soul needed to hear, know, and believe. The fear of rejection has been extinguished, and I no longer need the approval of others. The God of the universe chose me, and I am treasured by Him; so valued by Him, that He died for me.

This TRUTH is for you too! You are loved, valued, treasured by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You do not fall short, you are perfect and chosen by God! You, just the way you are right this very moment.

This is the day, on day 38, when you stop striving to gain approval from others, (you know who they are) and begin to see your TRUE worth and value by the One who set the standard, Jesus.

Jesus also gave me a new name during that first journey, Segullah, which means treasured possession in Hebrew. So that is the name Jesus calls me.....Segullah.

On this very special day, I pray that you will lean in close to Jesus and hear what He has to say to your heart and soul.

Day 37 "Beloved and so Adored"
jesus-hug.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

These are powerful words! The Bible tells us that Jesus is called Beloved by God the Father, and that is what we are as Children of God...His beloved. His cherished, His darling, His precious.

It's time for a heart check. Is this how you feel? Do you know this love? The love of The Father?

Let's look at the words, "so adored." Not only are we adored by God, but SO adored. It's that lavishing His love on us that we looked at yesterday. Overflowing, abundant, extravagant. We are loved and respected deeply. He holds us dear and is completely devoted to us.

This perfect love of God changes lives! I know, because it changed mine. It wasn't until the cerebral knowledge of His love dropped to my heart that I KNEW His love and was changed forever.

Please enjoy this video today. It's a powerful song with amazing stories of how His love has changed lives.

Good Morning Beauties!

"See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"
1 John 3:1

Can you think of a better title than "Child of God"? I can't.
As we enter this last 5 days of our journey, during Holy Week, it's God's perfect timing to crescendo on this topic of who we truly are...Children of God.

Look at the 1 John 3:1 verse again. What word stands out to you? I love the word "lavished." God is not stingy with His love. He is extravagant in His love for us. He pours generous portions of His love into our hearts. Quite frankly, all the love we've ever wanted or needed.....it's even MORE than that!

What stands out to you? What does God want to say to you about that word today? Be still and listen. Open up your heart and be ready for the treasure He has for you. Selah.

Day 35 "And You are Beautiful"

Good Morning Beauties!

The absolute beauty of God's love for us is something we can ponder for a lifetime. When it comes to purity, Jesus gives us the gift of being the women we've always wanted to be. The one without shame, without self hatred, without burden. He sets us free from all that bondage and allows us to be the women he created us to be.

Matthew 5:8 says, "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." Jesus provides blessing and a place of honor with Him for those who are pure. He welcomes you into His presence, and you will see Him as He reveals more and more of Himself to you. Can you think of anything better?

How do you see yourself today? Do you see your beauty? Have you opened your heart and accepted the Truth about your purity? If not, what lie is preventing you from doing so?

Jesus' beautiful words on the cross "It is finished," was for you. His work is complete. You are who He says you are, and no lie from the enemy will ever change that. The TRUTH is you are purity, and YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Day 34 "You are Purity"

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to Holy Week! These 7 days between Palm Sunday and Easter are so special. It's fitting that just when we thought Spring was on it's way, God would give us a little white covering to wake up to. (Here in Minneapolis)

As we enter into Holy Week, He is showing us the importance of purity. We must be pure before entering into the King's throne room. Sin and Holiness cannot co-exist, so we must be pure. On our own, we have no chance of being "good enough" to be in God's presence, but Jesus! Jesus has purified us by taking all our sin onto Himself. He covered us with His purity like the fresh fallen snow covers the landscape.

How will you respond to this gift Jesus has given you? What will you do with your invitation into the very throne room of God? Selah.

Day 33 "Perfect in HIS Sight"

Good Morning Beauties!

I love studying purity with God. He takes me back to my True self, the way He made me before the world assigned me blemish after blemish, bruise after bruise. Though I was dirty and stained, Jesus saw me, loved me, saved me and purified me with new life. Thank you Jesus!

Can you accept your new life? Jesus asks, "WILL you accept this new life I've given?" Do you believe He's wiped away your guilt and shame and that He's revealed perfection?

If you believe the Word of God is True, you must believe and receive your new identity in Christ. In Song of Solomon, Jesus is the Bridegroom King. For all you ladies trying to be perfect....stop trying. He already sees you this way. "Every part of you is so beautiful, my darling. Perfect is your beauty, without flaw within." Song Of Solomon 4:7

God sees you as perfection! You are beautiful inside and out! Does this Truth give you a sense of relief from the burden of striving to be this or that? Do you feel the peace coming? Do you feel His love wrapping around you and holding you tight?

I encourage you to spend some quality time with your Bridegroom King today.

Day 32 "Darkness Turned to Light"
abby-pena-554497-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

If there was one word to describe my life before I knew Jesus, it would be darkness. Life was a constant struggle and battle with fear, anger, shame, and hopelessness. I felt unloved and unwanted. It was a horrible place. All this darkness was hidden behind a false curtain of accomplishment, success and confidence.

When I met Jesus, it was if he lifted the curtain and His glorious light poured into the darkness, filled every corner, and extinguished every last bit. Now all I see is light! My heart and soul see His beauty in all things, I love deeply, and live in constant hope and expectation of blessing.

He purified me through and through with His light and love and I have never been the same. I am changed. Darkness turned to light.

What is your story? What is your "one word?" How has knowing Jesus changed your life? Selah.

Day 31 "You are Purity"
sharon-mccutcheon-559322-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Oh my goodness, just 10 days left of this amazing journey! Today is a good time to once again reflect on how God has replaced lies with His Truth during your journey. I'm sure He has shown Himself faithful.

The past few days we looked at the work and beauty of the Cross of Christ. The Bible tells us if we believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again, we are a Christian and will spend eternity in Heaven with God. Do you believe? Do you believe all the work was done by Jesus, and all we have to do is believe? Do you believe in the simplicity of salvation?

As Christians, we've been given eternal life with The Father, but what about here on Earth? Here's what the Bible says, "When someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 AMEN!

We have been purified by Christ, and are now a new creation. No longer filled with guilt and shame, we walk spotless and blameless. What does that look like for you? Selah.

Remember, it's who you ARE, not what you DO. The enemy will tell you "New life? Ha! You haven't changed!" But he's a lier, and that's a lie! I encourage you to write down in your journal all the ways Jesus has changed your heart as His new creation. Ask Him to show you, and He will reveal Truth.

Good Morning Beauties!

Do you see beauty in the cross of Christ? Though it's the instrument by which our Savior was tortured and killed, it's the cross that made redemption and reconciliation possible. The agony Jesus endured was horrific, and yet we can see His perfect love poured out for us through His blood...a beautiful love story. Do you see it? Selah.

I pray, especially as we move closer to Easter, that this year you are experiencing a renewal of your soul like never before. I pray your celebration on Easter morning starts from your toes and flows all the way up through your outstretched arms and fingertips. We have much to celebrate!

Good Morning Beauties!

How are you doing this morning? Have you been moved to open your heart wide and get to know Jesus on a deeper level? To know and understand what He did for us? For you? This "knowing Him" is treasure my Beauties, pure treasure.

Today, let's move from the solemn to the celebration of redemption. Jesus paid the price, that we could never pay, to reconcile us to The Father. His love for us, for you, is that great! Jesus came into this world so that NONE would perish. Do you know a greater love than this?

Jesus counted it as joy to go to the cross, knowing we would be with Him forever in Heaven. "For the joy set before Him, He endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 Hallelujah!!

I pray you can sing and dance in celebration of your redemption today.

Day 28 "For You, the Savior Died"
christoph-schmid-258813-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Today may be a life changing experience for you. Have you allowed yourself to look at the Truth about what Jesus actually did for us? For you? This Truth is not for the faint of heart, so I ask you to be courageous with what He will show you today.

A couple of Bible verses that run through my mind in thinking of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for me. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." John 15:13 It is LOVE for us, for you, that Jesus died, so that we could be reconciled to The Father and live together for eternity.

We could stop there, and have this warm, ooey-gooey feeling, but can we just get real for a minute? The cross was anything but warm and fuzzy. It was torture. Let's be brave and take a look at the Truth of what Jesus endured for us, for you.

There is a song that touched my heart as a teenager and has stayed with me all these years. There is also a movie that has had a profound impact on my life. When you put them together, it is a bit overwhelming. To be honest, it is hard to watch, but I pray you will, so you will know Jesus more, and to have a better understanding of His depth of LOVE for you.

Beauty is courageous and brave!

Day 27 "The Lamb was Crucified"
bin-thi-u-503235-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

It's hard for me to grasp the True sacrifice that Jesus completed for us. He was perfect love walking the Earth. All He did was love people; He was spotless and pure.

When John the Baptist first saw Jesus walking toward him, he proclaimed, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29

After the Day of Pentecost, Peter spoke with boldness and power from the Holy Spirit, "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake."

How do you wrap your head around it? Is it necessary for you to understand it with intellect at all? Perhaps you are wanting to gain knowledge and understanding deep down in your spirit. However you need to take in the blessing of the Lamb, make time today....selah.

Day 26 "You are Redeemed"
diana-simumpande-197805-unsplash.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

These next few days are incredibly important and personal between you and Jesus....I pray that you will make extra time to meet with Him, open your heart wide, and soak in the Truth that is waiting for you.

In previous verses, we've talked about we've been given this or that "because of what Jesus did for on on the cross." Now it's time to know exactly what He did. Please prepare your heart for a mix of emotions. A few I have felt on past journey experiences have included guilt, shame, pain, joy, and peace.

We start with the word redeemed, "the purchase back of something that had been lost, by the payment of a ransom." We had been lost to sin and death by way of trying to fulfill the law. None is perfect, so therefore, none could fulfill the law, and thus we need a Savior.

"The debt against us is not viewed as simply cancelled, but is fully paid. Christ's blood or life, which he surrendered for them, is the "ransom" by which the deliverance of his people from the servitude of sin and from its penal consequences is secured. It is the plain doctrine of Scripture that "Christ saves us neither by the mere exercise of power, nor by his doctrine, nor by his example, nor by the moral influence which he exerted, nor by any subjective influence on his people, whether natural or mystical, but as a satisfaction to divine justice, as an expiation for sin, and as a ransom from the curse and authority of the law, thus reconciling us to God by making it consistent with his perfection to exercise mercy toward sinners" (Hodge's Systematic Theology). Day 25 "And You are Beautiful"
transformation.jpeg

Good Morning Beauties!

How does righteousness make us beautiful? I think it starts in our hearts. Our desire to live holy lives is beautiful. We walk it out by knowing we can't do it on our own, so we invite the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us each new day. We leave the stress of striving to be perfect behind us, and we move forward with Godly intentions and the power of the Holy Spirit. There is BEAUTY in surrender.

"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a sceptre of justice will be the sceptre of your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes andassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad." Psalm 45:6–8

The Psalmist was prophetically referring to Jesus, here, but can we relate to this Truth as well? There is joy and peace when we stop striving to be perfect in order to be accepted by God. Our shoulders relax, our facial expression lightens to a gentle smile, our breath deepens, and our senses are heighten with the reduction of stress.

Now THIS is who you are meant to be....the True You. And You Are Beautiful!
