Day 4 "You Are Beautiful"

This is Who You Are

Good Morning Beauties!

“Your WHO is not your DO.” A popular quote from a well known preacher. Do you get it? It means your actions do not determine who you are in Christ. Your behavior may not always be beautiful, but you are a beautiful person, created in Christ Jesus. Make sense?

Watch this video below and notice your heart breaking for these students who don’t see their worth, value, or beauty. What would your response be if approached in the very same way today? Selah.

You Are So Beautiful - A Social Experiment (Warning - there is some language used which you may find offensive.)

It’s important to know that no matter your sinful thoughts or behavior, God still loves you. There’s nothing, including bad behavior, that can separate us from His love. He does call us to be holy as He is holy, but we can’t do it on our own; the Holy Spirit sanctifies us day by day from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

If you condemn yourself for being human and making mistakes, today’s the day to let yourself off the hook. Remember, only the enemy condemns, not Jesus. (Romans 8:1) Pray the Holy Spirit will help develop those areas where you are weak and let Him strengthen you - all the while knowing you are still BEAUTIFUL.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Day 3 "Loved Above All Things"

The Light of Love

Good Morning Beauties!

“ Love is made perfect in us when we are not ashamed as we stand before Him on the day He judges. For we know that our life in this world is His life lived in us. There is no fear in love. Perfect love puts fear out of our hearts. People have fear when they are afraid of being punished. The man who is afraid does not have perfect love.” 1 John 4:17-18 (NLV)

Perfect love. The world had only known conditional love before Jesus left heaven and joined us here on Earth. God does not allow anything to separate us from His love - no sin, no backsliding, no failure, NOTHING!. He loves us above it all! Hallelujah!

Conditional love comes with fear, right? It says, “if you’re good enough, I will love you.” This kind of human love leads to perfectionism and has us on the treadmill of doing more, being better, and endless striving. Can you relate? What fear in your life has come with conditional love? Selah.

Let’s get off that treadmill, say good-bye to perfectionism, and hello to being perfectly loved by Jesus. We can let go of the stress and strife of measuring up to someone else’s expectations and know that we are fully loved and accepted just the way we are - blemishes and all. What fear is Jesus asking you to let go of today? Selah.

Day 2 "Daughter Of The King"

That Day Will Come

Good Morning Beauties!

“‘I advise you, O daughter, not to fret about your parents in your homeland far away. Your royal husband delights in your beauty. Reverence him, for he is your lord. The people of Tyre, the richest people of our day, will shower you with gifts and entreat your favors.’ The bride, (the daughter of the King) a princess, waits within her chamber, robed in beautiful clothing woven with gold.  Lovely she is, led beside her maids of honor to the king!  What a joyful, glad procession as they enter in the palace gates!“ Psalm 45:10-15 (TLB)

The greatest gift of our Abba Father is the gift of His Son, Jesus, our Bridegroom. God wants our complete devotion and this passage clearly shows us to turn from our Earthly family, whether it’s been a good or bad experience, and to give ourselves to Him as we make Him our Lord.

Read the passage again. What is the first thing that stands out to you? Where is the Holy Spirit leading your mind? What is He saying to your heart? Selah.

As we anticipate this year’s celebration of the Christ child’s birth, we can also eagerly await Jesus’ return. The Bridegroom is coming to take away His Bride. I long for that day, how about you? Selah.

Day 1 "You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Beginnings

Good Morning Beauties!

Welcome to Day 1! Thank you for putting in the work yesterday to prepare for your 40 Day Journey. You won’t regret the time it took to ensure your successful journey experience. Keep your tools handy as you’ll go back to them often as needed.

Are you like me, and really get excited to start something new? As I gathered my Bible, ginger tea, journal, and computer to start my journey this morning, the magnificent sunrise caught my attention. I tried to capture what I was seeing out of my window, but the photo pales in comparison. I just could not capture the majesty of God. Instead of spending more time snapping away with my camera, I stopped and stood in awe of our Creator and watched as the colors of the morning sky danced before my eyes.

Before I go much further, I want to provide some instruction for those who do not have the “You Are Beautiful Selah” journal, where the instructions can be found on pages 11-12. Here are the steps you’ll want to follow in your personal journal:
Pray before you start your journey each day.
Listen to the song, “You Are Beautiful” on the website.
Read that day’s verse and selah (stop, ponder these things)
Journal your answer to the question, “What do I believe about this truth?”
Spend time with God and ask him to reveal more about this truth to you.
Reflect on what God has spoken to your heart and journal your response.
Write down your prayer in response to your journey experience for that day.
Use the blog however you want. It’s not a Bible study, just an encouragement from a friend who is going on her own journey.
Please reach out if you have any questions about the journey format.

Every journey experience is different for each Beauty who enters in, and each day is different as well. Join me and simply open your mind and heart to the Lord and follow where He leads. This morning, he led me to two topics. The first being our need for repentance in order to grow in intimacy with Jesus. An honest pouring out from our souls in confession of our sin and a turning back to Him is what He requires.

Do you need restoration and refreshment? What is your plea to Jesus today? Selah.

Beauties, look at this beautiful promise of God found in Jeremiah, “If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me;” Jeremiah 15:19 (NIV) Not only will we be restored, but also our relationship with Jesus. When we are reunited with Him, the Spirit will fill us with love to overflowing, at which time we are able to serve Him through the holiness of God and not in our own strength. What are your thoughts about this promise? Selah.

Take a few minutes to stop reading this blog and spend time with Jesus in worship. Perhaps this song will set the stage for you to bow and repent before the Lord.

Nothing Else / Heart of Worship - Kari Jobe

Okay, now to our second topic - your beauty. Today’s truth is “You Are Beautiful.” What is your initial reaction when you read those words? Do you readily accept this truth, or are you having a difficult time applying it to yourself? Let’s break it down…what does the word BEAUTY mean to you? Where were you first influenced by this word and by whom? How has this influence played a role in your life? Selah.

One thing to add to this truth is that we simply shine the beauty of our Lord, Jesus Christ. It is HIS beauty others see and we experience. Let’s look at what Paul says to the Galatians, “My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 (NLT)

I pray this truth sets you free today from having to TRY to make yourself beautiful. You already ARE beautiful. Jesus’ love and light shining through you makes you just as beautiful as anything in His Creation. He is enamored with you! Let that sink in.

Take some more time to worship our Beautiful Savior, Jesus with this classic song. Pray that He will give you moments throughout your day to stop and stand in awe of His beauty.

Day Of Preparation

Christ Before Us

Good Morning Beauties!

“Let your heart therefore be wholly devoted to the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes and to keep His commandments, as at this day.” - 1 Kings 8:61 NASB1995

What does it look like to be wholly devoted? We need only to look at Jesus’ example. He left His crown for the cross for you and for me. His devotion for us was so powerful, He gave up His life in a most agonizing way so that we may be set free and live with Him forever. So, are you wholly devoted to Jesus? Are you willing to give up everything to obey the Father? Are you willing to lose your life to truly find it? (Matthew 10:39) Selah…stop and ponder these things.

Welcome to our 2024 Christmas 40 Day Journey. I’m so glad you’re here. You’ve made the intentional decision to slow down and prioritize Jesus this year instead of getting caught up once again in the stress and anxiety of a commercialized Christmas season. I commend you!

Through the You Are Beautiful Selah journey, you will strengthen your devotion to Jesus as He reveals your true identity in Him. It’s a beautiful love affair with the One who created you, has called you by name, and given you a bold purpose. Let’s get ready.

Like on any extended trip, we must be properly prepared. We must pack our essentials to have a great journey. There are three '“tools” I believe are necessary to ensure a successful experience. They are expectations, obstacles, and motivation. Grab your journals and find space to answer the questions as we review each tool.

Expectations - what are you believing will happen through your journey experience? What are you willing to do to make sure you meet those expectations? What are you wanting God to do? What’s your part and His part?

Obstacles - the enemy will put obstacles in your way to prevent you from having a successful journey. Write down what you see as a possible roadblock and create an action plan to overcome it. You may come up with several obstacles, so be sure to write a plan of action for each one.

Motivation - why are you taking this journey? Why now? When you’re tempted to quit, you’ll need a reminder of why you’re going on this journey. On those days when you’re running late or you’re being pulled in a million different directions with holiday festivities, you’ll need to remember why you’re prioritizing Jesus this Christmas. Remember all you hope to gain and how your life will be changed forever.

I love the scripture below. To me, it’s a picture of what a wholly devoted life to Christ looks like. We’re always wanting to know God’s will for our lives, well Beauties, this is it….joy, prayer, gratitude. Reflect on the scripture and song below as you prepare for an amazing journey.

Day Of Reflection

Peaceful Journey with Jesus

Good Morning Beauties!

On this Day of Reflection, God placed on my heart to share Psalm 23. It’s been one of my very favorite verses of the entire Bible; the one I go to when I need peace and rest for my soul.

As you read and meditate on this beautiful song of King David, reflect on your 40 Day journey experience.

Psalm 23, a Psalm of King David
”The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
Forever.”

Beauties, our focus during this particular journey was to grow in our relationship with Jesus and exchange our exhaustion for His rest and peace. Let’s answer these questions to determine areas of accomplishment. Do you feel emotionally and spiritually restored, renewed, refreshed? Do you believe you can lay down in green pastures in prayer with Jesus, even though you have a million things to do? Are you feeling confident and fearless, knowing who you are in Christ and no longer being bound by lies…the messages saying you have to try harder and be better, and do more? Are you in a place you can now receive all the blessings God has for you, knowing that you are worthy in His eyes, (because of what Jesus has done for you.) Do you believe you will dwell with God forever? Did the pressures of this world shift to peace and rest found in an eternal perspective? Selah.

My prayer is that you have indeed drawn closer to Jesus, your Lord and Savior, and that you can identify at least one area where He has helped you silence the lies of the enemy and you are now free to live as God intended when He created you.

Just like we learned, sanctification is an ongoing process of the Holy Spirit. You can’t expect a complete “overhaul” in your very first journey, but I invite you to return to this resource to let Jesus speak to you again. If you found value in your journey, I humbly ask that you would invite a friend or perhaps a family member to join you on your next 40 Day Journey. Beauties, there are so many women who need to know truth, but are too busy to stop and spend time with Jesus. (Sound familiar?) Let’s help them! Our next journey will focus on Jesus’ birth and begins on November 15th. I would love to have you join me again.

Now, we are equipped to love God and love others by serving them in the humble way Jesus served. Let His light shine brightly through you as you rely on His strength while you go change the world!

You Are My Peace - Lou Fellingham

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Day 40 "And You Are Beautiful"

Reflection of His Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

Day 40! You’ve made it to the end of your journey. I know it wasn’t easy. There were difficult days, there were days you wanted to quit, there were times you thought, “what good is this doing?” But you didn’t quit! You prevailed when the enemy tried to destroy your journey.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Not only am I celebrating with you today, but most importantly, GOD is celebrating with you today. This entire 40 days, He’s seen your heart, seen your devotion, and your determination to draw closer to Him. You’ll never regret the hard work!!

Please join me here tomorrow for the Day of Reflection where we’ll look at your entire journey experience, but today, let’s look one more time at the last familiar lyric, You Are Beautiful. On your last day of the journey, what do you still need to hear about your beauty. If you look back to your first day and compare to what you now believe about your beauty, what’s still missing? What is the revelation you still need to hear from Jesus? As through the entire journey, I point you to Jesus for the answers you’re looking for. Just ask and listen. Selah.

I always like to share about Day 40 of my very first journey. Though it seems so obvious, it taught me I needed to take the focus off myself, and see the reality of how I’m just a vessel to shine His light. I’m only a reflection of His beauty, period. There’s nothing good in me apart from the gifts He’s given me, so my beauty is truly His beauty. There’s no effort on my part at all - I am simply a reflection of the most beautiful thing (person) known to man - JESUS!!

Did you need to hear this truth also? What does it mean to know you no longer have to be concerned with trying to be beautiful to please God or others, you simply ARE? Do you believe it? Do you believe it’s so easy? Does this truth bring comfort and rest? Selah.

On Day 40, let’s praise our beautiful Savior, Jesus Christ. Lord, open our eyes to the revelation of you.

Day 39 "You Are A Child Of God"

Who God Says You Are

Good Morning Beauties!

We just have to pick up our Bibles to see who God says we are - who we truly are. We can once and for all know what God says about us, so we can turn our backs on what the enemy says. God’s Word is our offensive weapon against the lies of the enemy, so let’s have His Word on our minds and in our hearts at all times.

Let’s take a look at additional truths about our Royal position as Children of God.
”For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the Children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”
Romans 14-17 (NIV)

I love this passage. There’s so much truth to absorb. The Spirit plays a vital role in our re-birth. We are Free! We are confident, not fearful. We’ve been adopted. Father God is our Daddy. Our spirits are connect with God to reveal truth to us. We share God’s inheritance with Jesus. We will share in Jesus’ sufferings, but also His glory!

What words (truths) caught your attention? What part was new revelation to you? Do you need to memorize this passage and have it ready for when the enemy shoots his arrows full of lies? Selah.

Beauties, review the past few days in your journal and here on this blog. Do you now believe? Do you believe in the fullness of who you are in Christ and that you are beautifully loved by God? Selah.

Take comfort in these truths, and allow them to provide a sense of peace and rest.

Day 38 "Treasured By Our Lord"

God’s Chosen Treasure

Good Morning Beauties!

“For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.” 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

Picture yourself in the biggest crowd you’ve ever seen, and Jesus walks through all the people and chooses YOU. That’s what He’s done. He chose you, His beloved child, as His treasured possession. He owns you, He purchased your life with His precious blood on the cross. Unlike the world’s values, Jesus owns you, not to demand things from you, but to love, cherish, and adore you. What do you think about this truth? What do you feel? Selah.

Here’s a song to lock in this truth. Pray the Holy Spirit will extinguish any lies you’ve been believing while you let this song flow over your mind and heart.
Chosen - Matthew West

“They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings—and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers” Revelation 17:14 (NIV)

Beauties, we are in a battle to be sure! Evil is on display like never before. No more hidden behind the curtain, it’s in your face. As dark as the wold is getting, God’s light shines even brighter. Hallelujah! He has won the victory, and His chosen are right beside Him. Take your place, surrender your life, and see how God will use you for a time such as this. Selah.

May this video encourage and embolden you as you start this new day.

Day 37 "Beloved And So Adored"

The Father’s Love Letter

Good Morning Beauties!

Beloved..."much loved, cherished, treasured, prized, highly regarded, admired, worshiped, revered."  Adored..."to regard with the utmost esteem, love, and respect; to honor."

Your Abba Father calls you BELOVED.  The God of Heaven and Earth ADORES you.  Do you believe it?  Do you know this Love?  Have you let this Truth penetrate your deepest wounds, silence lies, and mend your broken heart? Selah!

Let today be the day you ask The Lord to show you His Perfect Love so you will never doubt it again.  Receiving God's love is life changing and will lead to the greatest transformation you will ever know.

God led me to the following blog post this morning, and I thought you would enjoy the truths found in the writing and scriptures.

Day 36 "You Are A Child of God"

Resting in Who I Am

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Today begins our discovery of what it means to be a Child of God. These next five days will help you understand the truth about you who are in Christ and how very much He loves you. Before we dive in, let’s listen to the crescendo in You Are Beautiful.

Did you hear it? Why was the emphasis placed on this last attribute? Do you see it as the most important? Why or why not? Selah.

God’s Word says, “Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13 (NIV) Respond by writing in your journal what this truth means to you. Understanding how we are “born again” and a child of God takes time and meditation to fully comprehend our spiritual rebirth. Please let the Spirit lead you into this vital truth. Selah.

“‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10 (NIV) God’s love never fails, it endures all things, it is constant - dependable, reliable. How else would you describe the love of Jesus for you? In addition to His perfect love, He has made an immovable covenant of peace with you. Will you accept it today and find rest? Selah.

Today, let go of what the world and people in it have said you are, and just believe in who GOD says you are. You are HIS and you are LOVED.

Day 35 "And You Are Beautiful"

Behold His Radiance

Good Morning Beauties!

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” Hebrews 1:3 (NIV)

Transformation...God wants to change all of us, no matter where we are in our life's journey, we can always be drawing closer to Him.  What helps us draw closer?  Letting go of all the things standing between us.  If we believe a lie instead of His Truth, that lie stands in the way of a deeper walk with God.

Our walk with God grows ever brighter as we believe the Truth He has shared with our hearts. He has a special purpose for each one of us to fulfill, and we can best complete it when we are free to be the beautiful women He created.

What cause has Jesus called you to? Why do you think He chose you for that particular cause? Is His glorious light radiating through you to bless the people you’re called to help, or has it been dimmed by stress, busyness, and other agents of the enemy? What will you do to shine brightly in the Name of the Lord? Selah.

Let’s take a few minutes to marvel at the radiance and beauty of Jesus.

Day 34 "You Are Purity"

New Life of Purity

Good Afternoon Beauties!

Have you received the truth about your purity? Do you fully comprehend and believe it? Selah.

Have you given Jesus access to all the darkness and allowed Him to replace those spaces with His marvelous light? Selah.

Have you placed your need for perfection at His feet, never picking it up again? Do you truly believe there is no longer the need to impress anyone? Selah.

Beauties, take time to reflect on your purity before we move to the last attribute tomorrow. There’s still more work to be done surrounding your purity; take your time and don’t rush. Perhaps there are places you need to bring to the Lord for a final cleansing. What areas have you yet to surrender and place in the palm of His hand? You will find peace and rest in your surrender. You will no longer need to do and do and do and do, but rather, move in a peaceful place of rest with the Lord. Selah.

Allow the Holy Spirit to speak to your heart during the song. What does He want you to know? Selah.

Day 33 "Perfect In His Sight"

Flawless Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

Most high performing women leaders I know are perfectionists. Their drive and achievements are admired by others, but it’s killing them inside. There’s no peace, no rest, just living a hectic life on a treadmill that goes faster and faster with each passing day.

It’s time to get real and be honest with yourself. Are you a perfectionist? Perhaps not a full blown one, but do you have perfectionistic tendencies? How heavy is that load? Describe a typical day/week in your journal. Selah.

Beauties, peace and rest are in surrender. Let’s connect the dots. Can you see your need for control is so things will go perfectly, and therefore making yourself appear without blemish? Are you ready to hand it over, surrender your need to be perfect? Selah.

I believe our need to meet others’ expectations (real or perceived) is to gain acceptance and love. The lies of the enemy will tell us, “if you don’t perform to their standard and make them happy, you will never earn their respect and love.” The fear of rejection is a HUGE tool of the enemy. Who are you trying to impress? Who’s expectations are you trying to meet? Uncovering the answers will reveal much so you can move forward. Selah.

Here’s the TRUTH! Only Jesus is perfect, so stop trying. And another TRUTH, Jesus loves you with a perfect love, one that doesn’t judge, only sees the beautiful and flawless person He created. His complete acceptance of you is all you need. You may see your life as a chaotic mess, but He sees perfection. Will you believe these truths? Selah.

Day 32 "Darkness Turned To Light"

Walking in the Light

Good Morning Beauties!

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’” John 8:12 (NIV)

When I met Jesus for the first time, He illuminated His Word, His World, and radically changed my life - from darkness to light. His glorious light destroyed the darkness and compelled me to follow Him. There was a complete surrender I had never experienced before. All I knew was if He’s able to change my fearful and depressed heart into one of love, boldness, and joy, then I would trust Him to lead me anywhere.

What’s your story? How has Jesus brought light to your darkness? How has He called you to follow Him? Have you answered His call with complete surrender? Selah.

There’s usually more work to do in this area of exposing dark strongholds with the light of Jesus. Are you ready for more work? Are you ready to pray for new revelation about any darkness remaining in your life? Selah.

I love the description of His light found in 1 Peter 2:9, “His marvelous light.” Marvelous isn’t a word we use often. The definition is “causing great wonder; extraordinary.” Yes, indeed, God’s light causes us to marvel at the wonder of His extraordinary greatness - His Glory.

Let’s take time to wonder at His greatness today.

Day 31 "You Are Purity"

Washed Clean

Good Evening Beauties!

Today we’re going to look at one of my very favorite attributes, PURITY. The word derives from pure, which means, “Freedom from contamination; freedom from immorality. Virtuous, goodness, honor, integrity, worthiness.” In the New Testament, purity had little to do with ritual purity as in the Old Testament, but rather focused on moral purification.

When we look at scripture, we find the blessing of our purity. “God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.” Matthew 5:8 (NLT) I don’t know about you, but I consider it a magnificent blessing to be allowed to see God. When are those time you’ve seen God? Seen Him. Felt Him. Heard Him? Describe your heart’s posture at those moments. Selah.

The Bible also paints the best example of purity for us in our Savior, Jesus Christ, “Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.” Hebrews 7:26 (NIV) Like I’ve previously mentioned, if we are true followers of Jesus, we must follow His example of how He lived His daily life.

Just know the enemy will fight you all the way as you step out in faith and live like Jesus. He will continuously attack your mind, telling you lies like, “how can you possibly be pure? I saw what you did, and I hardly call that wholesome and clean behavior." He’ll also attack your character, “you’ll never be like Jesus, you’re a failure” Have you heard the enemy say, “You’re too dirty to be a follower of Jesus. You’re not innocent, you’re a filthy sinner.” Selah.

Don’t believe the lies! You have been washed clean by our Lord Jesus Christ. Just take a look…
“In the past, some of you were like that, but you were washed clean. You were made holy, and you were made right with God in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.” 1 Corinthians 6:11 (NCV)

Write down the lies surrounding your purity the Lord is revealing to you, then bring each one before the Him to replace with His truth. It’s an exercise you’re familiar with, and one that is important for your walk in purity, never having to feel unclean again. Selah

But if we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other. Then the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, cleanses us from every sin.

Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Love One Another

Good Morning Beauties!

God is bringing more to my heart today about the beauty of His sacrifice, and what we are to do with our incredible gift of redemption. Throughout the Bible, Jesus has provided us with the perfect example of the life He expects us to live. Scripture makes clear we’ve been set free, not to sit back and enjoy our freedom, but to love and serve others wholeheartedly like Jesus. His life of love, compassion, and tender care is beautiful, and this beauty radiates from us when we live by His example. How are you doing in this area? Are you bearing much fruit? Does your life look like the life of Jesus? Selah.

“Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had:

Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
    as something to cling to.
Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”
Philippians 2:1-11 (NLT)

This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

Resurrection Power

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Did you watch? The agonizing persecution and death of our Beautiful Savior? I know it was hard. I know it was gruesome. Did you watch every painful step towards the cross Jesus took? The innocent giving His life for the guilty, did you watch? Selah.

Is it sinking in? The abundant and perfect love God has for you? It never fails, never gives up, never runs out…it’s everlasting. Do you know this love? Selah.

Do you know your value? Do you know you’re worth paying any price, even death, to ensure you live eternally with the Father? Do you know in your mind and believe in your heart? Selah.

Jesus died on the Cross of Calvary, BUT He didn’t stay on that cross. He rose again on the third day, defeating death once and for all. Because He lives, you live! Praise the Lord, Hallelujah!

Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled:

Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?

Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"

Our Beautiful Christ

Good Morning Beauties!

Today’s truth is important to our very eternal life. Jesus died for you, let that sink in. A person, the Son of Man, literally died for you. Spend time reflecting on this critical truth. Selah.

On every Day 28, I include this video to help us truly understand what Jesus did for us. The humiliation, the torture, the cruel death. But let us not miss His humility, His humanity, and His great love. It’s difficult to watch, it’s graphic, it’s painful. Please watch. Please be uncomfortable for a few minutes to see how much Jesus loves you. Selah.

Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.
