Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"

Delightful Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

The first word that came to mind this morning as I reflected on the sacrifice of Jesus for me was “unworthy.” It put a damper on my morning from the get-go. Then, the Holy Spirit quickly spoke to me, “of course you’re unworthy, but that has nothing to do with your beauty. See yourself as the Father sees you.” WOW! That was the shot in the arm I needed to turn my day around.

So I contemplated what it must be like to see me as Abba sees me. “Lord, help me understand how you can see all my faults and flaws and still see my beauty?” Immediately, three things came to mind, my dog Hewi, The Chosen, and The Word.

My adorable maltese, Hewi, brought such delight to my heart today by the simplest thing. He has been trained to potty in a certain area, but he still has trouble sometimes. He’ll go near the area, so I know he’s trying, and when he went in the designated spot this morning, we had a little celebration. I delighted in him. Even when he fails, I still love him. His struggles never diminish my love for him.

The second thing I though of as I was trying to understand how God sees me was the series, The Chosen. Most of you have probably seen at least some of it by now. It’s an incredible story of Jesus and His disciples, The Chosen. I quickly remembered episodes where the disciples “messed up” or their actions were less than Godly, but Jesus would still look at them with loving eyes and smile. Despite their flaws, He still took great pleasure in them and their desire to grow as they followed Him.

Lastly, I thought of the scripture that says God delights in us and sings over us. That thought was followed by the Spirit’s whisper, “you make things too complicated. Your life and our love for you is so simple.”

What about you, do you need to simplify your life in Christ? Do negative thoughts cloud the truth of how the Father sees your beauty? What is the Holy Spirit whispering to you today? Selah.

I’ve played this song over and over this morning. I pray you will enjoy it too!

Day 29 "You Are Redeemed"

Redemption is Here

Good Morning Beauties!

You have been redeemed. You have seen the “how” Jesus went to the cross and shed His precious blood to pay your debt. You have read the “why” Jesus paid the ultimate price, to reconcile you back to Abba Father because of His great love for you. How have both of these truths transformed your beliefs? Selah.

The unconditional love of Jesus is AWESOME and at the same time difficult to comprehend. The love we experience from people has conditions; at times, it demands performance, but not true of God’s love. He loves you just as you are, imperfect, and flawed.

As you ponder His perfect love today, you may want to use the creative page in the back of your journal with the cross. Spend time resting in the Lord and finding peace in His presence. He’d love to meet you there.

As on Day 26, our redemption and all Jesus has done for us is worth celebrating. Let’s crank up the volume and shout from the rooftops!

Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"

Sacrificial Beauty

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Today may be a life changing experience for you. Have you allowed yourself to look at the Truth about what Jesus actually did for us? For you? This Truth is not for the faint of heart, so I ask you to be courageous with what He will show you today.

A couple of Bible verses that run through my mind in thinking of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for me.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." John 15:13

It is His LOVE for you, that Jesus died, so you could be reconciled to The Father and live together for eternity. What does this sacrificial love mean to you? Selah.

We could stop there, and have this warm and fuzzy feeling, but can we just get real for a minute? The cross was torture! The sacrifice was great!

Let's be brave and take a look at the Truth of what Jesus endured for us, There’s a song that touched my heart as a teenager and has stayed with me all these years. There is also a movie that has had a profound impact on my life. When you put them together, it is a bit overwhelming. To be honest, it is hard to watch, but I pray you will, so you will know Jesus more, and to have a better understanding of His depth of LOVE for you.

Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"

Worthy Is The Lamb

Hello Beauties!

“Christ went into the Holiest Place of All one time for all people. He did not take the blood of goats and young cows to give to God as a gift in worship. He gave His own blood. By doing this, He bought us with His own blood and made us free from sin forever.” Hebrews 9:12 (NLV)

My encouragement today is simple - Jesus, the spotless and perfect Sacrificial Lamb paid the ransom for you. What sacrifice are you still trying to offer God instead of accepting His Grace by Faith? Selah.

“In a loud voice they were saying:
Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Revelation 5:12 (NIV)

"Today, let’s spend our time praising The Worthy Lamb of God and let’s linger in His beautiful presence with all of heaven’s angels.

Day 26 "You Are Redeemed"

Come Out and Live

Good Morning Beauties!

Redemption.....such a beautiful gift from Jesus.  No longer that little girl held captive by lies of the enemy, trapped in deceptive self doubt.  We have been set free.  Jesus says it's okay to come out into the world as a forgiven, beautiful woman.  As we open our hearts to the full Truth of God's redeeming work through Jesus, I pray we can grasp the marvelous freedom we've been given.

Redeemed, "Having been set free by a paid ransom."  We have been set free from sin, from shame, from eternal damnation, from struggle, from strife, from the power of death...all paid for by the precious blood of Christ. Selah.

I pray you take to spend time with God and hear all Jesus has done for you - not out of obligation, not for everyone else - He did it for you because of His great love for you.

The Bible tells us, “But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” 1 John 4:4 (NLT)

It’s time to celebrate our redemption! Come out and truly live in the freedom Jesus has given you - He is so much greater than the enemy! Let’s get up and dance in praise to our Savior Jesus, who has paid our debts with His redeeming sacrifice.

Day 25 "And You Are Beautiful"

Your Beautiful Story

Good Morning Beauties!

Here we are on Day 25 already. Does it feel like this journey is going by quickly for you too?

As I pondered my true beauty again this morning, the Lord had me reflect differently. Instead of looking back at the previous 24 days in my journal to see my growth in this journey experience, He asked me to reflect on my life’s story. He asked that I find beauty in the entirety of my story, from the beginning.

Like yours, I’m sure, my story consists of darkness and light, failure and success, tragedy and triumph. I hesitated at first, not wanting to reflect on the difficult parts of my life, but that’s where I found the most beauty. In those dark places, the light of Jesus shone the brightest. It was good to go back and see that He was with me at every moment and was always creating beauty from my ashes. Will you join me and reflect on your life’s story to discover there’s more beauty than you realize. Selah.

“Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.” 1 Chronicles 16:8 (NLT)

My story, again, like yours, is filled with the testimony of God’s love, mercy, grace, and redemption. Beauties, we are not to hide our stories; we are to share them with as many people as will listen. Jesus was the perfect example for us. He explained Biblical truths in parables and stories. He was the ultimate storyteller! Who can you share your story with today? Selah.

Day 24 "You Are Righteous"

Oaks of Righteousness

Good Morning Beauties!

On this last day of pondering our righteousness, our right standing with God, let’s dig a little deeper. There’s so much treasure He wants us to discover.

Let’s uncover any more lies of the enemy that lie deep within your heart and mind. Let’s look with open and honest transparency. When do you still hear, “You’re not good enough?” What are you doing when this lie rears its ugly head? Are you stepping out and trying something new? Are you serving the Lord? Are you joining a new community? Are you trying to relate to your teenager? Selah.

This lie of not being good enough can take on many forms. You may believe that you’re disappointing God when you fail. You may believe you’ll never have peace with a particular person. You may believe you’ll never advance in your job. Spend time uncovering when you believe you’re not good enough. Selah.

Let’s continue to go even deeper. I’ve found that the fear of not being good enough is only a symptom of a bigger issue, a bigger lie. In my case, it’s the fear of rejection. The lie becomes, “If I’m good enough, they will love and accept me.” This lie is especially harmful when I try to perform to impossible standards to gain the acceptance and love of God. “If I’m good enough, God will love me.” Of course, I know this is a big fat lie, but at times, it invades my mind again and breaks my heart.

What bigger lie is your "not good enough” really covering? Spend time listening the the Spirit and write down the things you know to be true to combat the lies of the enemy. Selah.

The great news is God wants to be in those difficult places. When we feel weak, He wants to come and make us strong. When we doubt, He wants to bring assurance. His amazing grace is sufficient for all our needs. This grace allows us to become those glorious Oaks of Righteousness on display for His splendor. (Isaiah 60:3) Beauties, let’s uncover the lies, replace them with truth, live each day in His grace, and usher people towards the one true God, Jesus Christ.

Day 23 "Forgiven, Justified"

Washed Clean

Good Morning Beauties!

Today we look at two more very important words and actions God accomplished for us. Let’s examine them closely. There is a distinction between forgiveness and justification. It is subtle, but it is crucial for our understanding. Forgiveness occurs when I go to Jesus Christ and confess my sin. He forgives me. Justification occurs when God acknowledges the forgiveness Jesus extended and accepts His payment of my debt. Take a moment and write down your thoughts about the blessing of forgiveness and justification to your life. Selah.

Sometimes it’s hard to ask for forgiveness, especially if I’ve failed at the same thing again. The enemy has me believe Jesus’ forgiveness will somehow diminish if I ask Him to forgive me for the same sin more than once. What a liar! Jesus is faithful to forgive ALL our sins when we confess them. What do you need to confess today? What’s the nagging sin you’ve tried to hide? He’s listening, and He’s willing to forgive. Selah.

“If we make it our habit to confess our sins, in his faithful righteousness he forgives us for those sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9 (ISV)

Jesus is faithful to give us a fresh start, a clean slate, each time we ask for His forgiveness. How do you picture this amazing blessing? Draw a picture or describe what happens when you’re forgiven.

Day 22 "Saved and Sanctified"

Humble Gratitude

Good Afternoon Beauties!

Today’s truth is life changing! You are saved and sanctified. Let’s slow down and take time to discover what the Bible says about both.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13 (NIV)

“In your distress you called and I rescued you,” Psalm 81:7 (NIV)

What is your “rescue story”? How has Jesus saved you from the pit of hell into His glorious eternity? Have you thought about it lately? Your story? All that Jesus has saved you from and saved you to? Selah.

Do you still need rescuing? Is there still something you need to release? Don’t hold back. Go ahead and bravely take it from your heart and place it in His hand today. His desire is to help you. Selah.

“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)

When we believe Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are given the gift of the Holy Spirit. Through His power, we are made Holy. While salvation happens in the moment of decision, our sanctification will take a lifetime. It’s the process of being made Holy.

Our desire is to be perfect, Holy from the start. It can even lead to frustration when we fail short day after day. We don’t want to, but we do. Can you relate? We must remember that it’s the Holy Spirit’s job to lead us into sanctification. Will you stop your efforts and rest in the Spirit to change you from Glory to Glory? Selah.

“Everything God made is good. We should not put anything aside if we can take it and thank God for it. It is made holy by the Word of God and prayer.” 1 Timothy 4:4-5 (NLV)

Let’s look at something else today…gratitude. We have been rescued from eternal damnation and saved to walk in freedom with God forever. Jesus also gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit to help make us more like God while we’re here living on Earth. How do we respond? Immense gratitude.

How do we life a life of gratitude? Many people I know have a gratitude journal they use every day. It helps keep them focused on all the gifts and miracles Jesus provides on a daily basis. Take time today to write down those gifts you’re most grateful for. What other ways can you express your gratitude to God? Perhaps you address each person of the Trinity, Abba Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Selah.

Day 21 "You Are Righteous"

Found Innocent by Grace

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Do you hear lies saying, “You’re not good enough”? How about, “You’re a mistake”? Or even, “God will never forgive you”? Today is the day to lay the lies down at the feet of Jesus and put on your robe of RIGHTEOUSNESS. The truth is you are good enough, you’re not a mistake, and God has already forgiven you. The work Jesus completed on the cross declares us right before our Holy God, and no lie from the enemy will ever change that.

Let’s look at truth directly from the Word of God…

“Now that we have been made right with God by putting our trust in Him, we have peace with Him. It is because of what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us.  By putting our trust in God, He has given us His loving-favor and has received us. We are happy for the hope we have of sharing the shining-greatness of God.” Romans 5:1-2 (NLT)

Beauties, there’s absolutely nothing we could ever do to earn our right standing with God. Our righteousness is completely because of who Jesus is and what He did for us on the cross. Let’s celebrate the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS He’s given us today!

Day 20 "And You Are Beautiful"

Fearless Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

Oh my goodness, so much can happen in a matter of days! It’s only been 10 days since our last “check-in” where we reflected on our journey to date. Our world is changing exponentially. How has your life been impacted? Selah.

Today is important to stop and make time to gather your thoughts, your feelings, and your beliefs in light of your new reality. Usually on days of reflection, we look at the preparation steps and determine if they’re helpful in making your journey successful. I think it’s important to do so again today, but there’s more. How are you doing? Really doing? In your journal, write how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking, and how both are forming your beliefs. Now, determine if those beliefs are based on God’s truth or the circumstances surrounding you. Selah.

All it takes is to watch an hour of the news to bring fear and anxiety into our minds. The world is suffering right now, there’s no doubt about it. But, sweet Beauties, we are not of this world. Our true home is with God, and His promises are yes and AMEN. His Word tells us we will have trouble, but He will be right there with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Do you believe Him? Selah.

We must pray for wisdom and make good choices. Panic only brings fear and doubt into our souls. Fear is not of God, so don’t allow it to rule your life. What are you allowing into your mind? Is it the news or the Good News? Are your conversations about how the enemy has sickened the world, or how Jesus came to the world to heal the sick? Selah.

I’m praying for all of you today. I pray we all can have that same confidence in God as we continue to walk on our journeys. I pray for the HUGE worldly distractions to be quieted so we can hear His still small voice. I pray we see growth in our courage, bravery, and BEAUTY.

Day 19 "You Are Royalty"

God’s Royal Jewel

Good Morning Beauties!

The past few days we’ve looked at our inclusion in the Royal Family of God. What has the Holy Spirit revealed to you in this regard? What has He said about suffering, about God’s unending love for you? Selah.

As much as I want to celebrate our Royalty with dancing and singing, there’s a weight on my heart today. There are so many strong Christian sisters in my life who are struggling right now. They are committed to Christ and all He’s called them to be and do. They are committed to their husbands and children. They are committed to performing with excellence at their jobs. They are committed and responsible for the ministry God has given them.

They’re ALL IN and surrendered to Christ; however, the load has become heavy . God’s peace and security has been replaced with the enemy’s fear, anxiety, and insecurity. Can you relate? Selah.

Today I want to lovingly adjust your crown that may have fallen a little to one side. A few years ago I found a wonderful blog speaking about this subject. Christi Given has written an article on the confidence of knowing we’re royal, even when we’re weary in the fight. Enjoy and be encouraged!

Christi writes, “I wouldn’t say insecurity is a SIN, but I would say doubt, holding back, burying your talents (Matthew 25:13-40) and living in fear is not pleasing to God. There are many verses on God saying and commanding, “Do not fear….” We need to be obedient to this because God knows worrying doesn’t add anything to our lives; rather, it just wastes time and energy. Insecurity stems from doubt, fear and a lack of confidence, but when we are confident in GOD, not in ourselves, that is when we have the victory.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

God does call us to be bold, to not shrink back, and to walk in the spirit, to walk in victory. The Word of God has said the Lord hasn’t given us a spirit of timidity (2 Timothy 1:7). We all feel at times that we may not be eligible or qualified, but we need to walk in the security of our royalty as daughters of the King.”

Here are 10 verses to help you overcome insecurity:

1. Philippians 4:13: “I can do ALL things THROUGH Christ who gives me strength.” This means that we can’t do the things God calls us to do on our own. We need the power of Christ in us by the Holy Spirit, and when we lean on him, we have total victory.

2. Galatians 5:16: “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” When we walk with God and deny our flesh, we will understand our royal identity and know that in the end God has already won and “it is finished.”

3. 1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” This verse says that the one who fears isn’t made perfect in God’s love…we need to have a revelation of HOW MUCH GOD LOVES US!

4. Matthew 25:29: “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” If you are faithful with the little things, God will entrust you with more, and the same goes with trusting God in your capabilities. Step out, volunteer, give, be a good steward, do things for God’s Kingdom even if you are scared…God will be with you!

5. Hebrews 10:38: “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” God is not pleased when we doubt Him, or bow down to fear. God goes before us and wants us to be courageous. Our actions and lives represent how much we trust Him and what we are willing to do to serve His Kingdom.

6. 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Remind yourself you are REAL royalty! We come from the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and are called to be leaders, while following Christ…we have the authority of leadership because Christ died for us, taking our place and making us heirs as God’s children.

7. Galatians 3:26-27: “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” You are God’s child, and if you are walking in the fruits of the Spirit and honoring God with your life in faith, then you are a child of LIGHT, not darkness. Fear is of the enemy, doubt is equivalent to the oceans being tossed to and fro in the sea, and courage comes from God’s truth, which sets us free.

8. James 1:22: “Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Be not only a hearer of the Word, but a doer of the Word. Yes, we all have feelings of fear or doubt, and we can tend to listen to our thoughts or walk in a spirit contrary to God’s Word, but the Lord is very clear that we not only read the Bible, but that we also ask God for strength to do what God asks us. God will help us to walk in obedience when we humble ourselves and surrender our lives to Him. It is IMPOSSIBLE to do this alone in our own strength, which is why we need God’s daily bread (spiritual food), the living water of the Word and communion with Him through prayer. Let’s be doers, not doubters, amen?!

9. James 1:6: “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” Believe and don’t doubt God’s Word. God keeps His Word and is FAITHFUL!

10. Psalm 139:13: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Don’t compare yourself to others, as God knit you in your Mother’s womb and has a unique call and destiny for YOUR life.

Rest in the love of your Father today. Your life is in His hands. Let go of all the fear and anxiety - just be held.

Day 18 "Heaven's Glow From You Abounds"

Abounding Glow of Love

Good Morning Beauties!

How do we know if we’re walking in the freedom Christ died to give us? Isn’t that what this journey’s about? So, how do we know if we’re making progress? Will we feel something? Will we look different? Will there be tangible results? Yes.

Today’s lyric is one of my favorite. God gave me a beautiful picture in my head of His warm golden glow coming from Heaven to live in and through us. As we uncover the lies of the enemy residing in us, Heaven’s glow (His truth and love) will illuminate the darkness and eventually overflow onto others.

I bet you’ve seen people you know appear to be glowing. Whether it’s new found romantic love, the fullness of an expected baby, or perhaps during worship, an overwhelming expression of love is surely the reason. God allows these intense moments on Earth so we may get a glimpse of how much He loves us.

When we have a taste of the goodness of God, all we can do is share it with others. Holding it in is selfish, and the love of God is anything but self serving. His love always serves others.

So, the answer again is yes. We will reveal our progress by the way we feel, look, and love others. How is your progress? Selah.

Soak in some of His glow this morning…

Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"

Beautiful Surrender

Good Morning Beauties!

Victory - an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition. (Google Dictionary)  If we walk this Earth with Christ as our Lord, we are victorious!   Jesus wore the True Victor's Crown - the crown of thorns - as He died on the cross to defeat the power of sin and death once and for all.  He won the battle when He rose from the grave into new life and now sits at the right hand of Father God.

How are you walking today?  As a victor or victim?  Sisters, we can not be both.  The enemy will continue to steal, kill, and destroy - but he does not have the victory over you - he does not have power over you.  Jesus told His disciples, “If you truly want to follow me, you should at once completely reject and disown your own life. And you must be willing to share my cross and experience it as your own, as you continually surrender to my ways." (Matthew 16:24)  Jesus wants to lead us into a Victorious life, but He demands complete surrender.

You are stronger than you think.  You are courageous and brave.  Will you obey through your fear and lay down your life (ambitions, hopes, dreams) to follow Him?  When you surrender, you will find Him faithful.  Ephesians 3:20 puts it this way, "Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you."

Are you willing? Selah.

Day 16 "You Are Royalty"

Royal Bride

Good Morning Beauties!

Daughters of kings are among your honored women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.” Psalm 45:9 (NIV)

This verse is one of many which speak about our place in God’s Royal Family. What does it mean to hold the status of Royal Bride? Is God’s Royal Family different than your Earthly family? What are the benefits of belonging to God’s family? Are there any draw backs? Selah.

“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT)

When you believe in Jesus you are given the right to become a child of God. Technically, we’re all children of God in one sense, He made us all after all, but the Bible says that if we believe in Jesus we are His actual children adopted into His actual family. So next time you think you’re not very special or you think you’re not important to God, remember that if you believe in Jesus then you are a part of God’s family, and He’s the King! That makes you a princess in the Kingdom of God!

Thank you Abba Father for calling us into your Royal Family - a place where we belong, forever.

Beautiful Countenance

Good Morning Beauties!

“When Moses met with God on the mountain, His face shone with the glory of God's presence. As believers, we see even greater glory in God's presence through the Holy Spirit. Let us spend time in His presence so that we reflect His glory and love to those around us!” Pastor Phil Vance

The beauty of the Lord is what makes our countenance beautiful. He shines His face upon us, and we shine. Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) Describes us as, “the display of His splendor.” Is there anything preventing His beauty from shining through you? Selah.

For me, when I experience anxiety, I know others are not seeing the fulness of God. Can you relate? It furthers my frustration to know I’m not displaying His splendor at those times. What do I do? I turn to the Word of God for encouragement and peace.

Jesus gives one of the greatest invitations of all time,“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 (NLT)

Here is a beautiful reminder from Paul, a man who suffered greatly and was still able to rejoice in the Lord. He wrote, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) Beauties, give your burdens to Jesus, lay them down at His feet and experience the undeniable peace and joy that accompany His grace.

What are your “go to” scriptures to encourage you when you’re not at your best? Write them in your journal and pray they sink in at a deeper level. Selah.

Take time today to enter into His presence and celebrate your beauty. Dance, sing, and rejoice in the Lord for giving you this glorious new life in Him. A life that has defeated the enemy and his lies.

Day 14 "You Are Joyful"

Joyful Light in the Darkness

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

The Lord, in His goodness, has deepened my knowledge about joy today, and I’d love to share with you some insights.

The joy of the Lord is much more than an emotion, it’s an anchor for our souls; a place of peace and security. Do you know this place? What have you learned about your joy these past few days? On a scale of 1-5, how would you rate your joy? Do you want a higher score? What’s stealng your joy? Are you able to identify the culprit? Selah.

The enemy uses many things in this world to steal, kill, and destroy our joy - loss of a loved one, financial hardship, health crisis, feelings of rejection, divorce, infertility. These are just a few of truly difficult things we may experience in our lifetimes. How do we maintain our joyful spirit during such hardships?

Jesus provides us the example. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV) Jesus’ focus was on us when He went to the cross, not on His personal suffering, but on His purpose to save us and reconcile us to the Father for eternity.

If I’ve truly surrendered my life to Christ, suffering will always be secondary to the glory of His fulfilled purpose in me. Read this statement aloud three times. What does the Holy Spirit want to reveal to you? Selah.

Let’s take back our joy from the enemy! Lay down any anxiety to your Savior who makes the darkness tremble and silences our fear.

Day 13 "Grace Has Brought You Peace"

Beautiful Peace

Good Morning Beauties!

Grace…Amazing Grace. It is so sweet, isn’t it? I think it will take a lifetime to fully grasp all that God has done through Christ. How do you see grace? What does it mean to you? Selah.

When I was writing this lyric, the word peace came first. I had to think of what one thing brings me the most peace, and after much contemplation, I realized it was grace. I am saved through grace. I am loved just as I am through grace. I have favor with God through grace. Salvation, love, and favor bring me peace.

I see peace as a process with several parts formed in a circle. Each time I go around the circle, my peace increases. The circle begins with God’s Word (Jesus), and moves to belief. Do I believe what i read in scripture as truth? If I do, then the next step is trust. In trusting God, I can lay down my fears in faith. The next step is accepting God’s grace as I surrender my life to Him. In this beautiful exchange of my life for His, I find extraordinary peace. This is my view of how God’s Amazing Grace brings me peace. What is yours? Selah.

Let’s praise God today for taking our brokenness and making us whole through His grace.

Day 12 "Your Spirit's Been Set Free"

Free Indeed

Good Morning Beauties!

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.” Romans 8:1-4 (NLT)

Hallelujah! We are free from the power of sin and death. We who believe in Jesus as our Savior are Free!!
What does freedom look like to you? What are you free from? What are you free to do? How will you use your freedom to serve the Lord? Selah.

Day 11 "You Are Joyful"

Pure Joy

Good Morning Beauties!

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted, to announce liberty to captives, and to open the eyes of the blind. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of God’s favor to them has come, and the day of his wrath to their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel he will give: beauty for ashes; joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness. For God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory.”
Isaiah 61:1-3 The Living Bible

Beauties, this passage describes the Good News of Jesus. It paints a picture of the beautiful life found in Christ, our Savior. It speaks of the transformation available to those who believe in Jesus and make Him the Lord of their life. Do you know this Jesus? Not know “of” Him, but know the person of Jesus? Do you remember that moment you met Him? Selah.

Let’s take time today to thank Jesus for giving us this new life, and let’s remember where He’s taken us from and where He’s taken us to. My list is long. How about yours? Selah.

We’ve all got a reason to celebrate the absolute goodness of God and how He replaced our sorrow with joy.
