Day 36 "You Are A Child Of God"
You Are A child of God.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

As we follow the crescendo and key change...we hear this Truth, "You Are A Child Of God."  So, do you believe it?  Do you believe God has chosen you as His beloved daughter?  Selah.

What does a Child of God look like?  I think she is completely secure in the fact that God will take the very best care of her at all times.  Though there may be hardships, He is always there with His strength in her weakness.  I think she trusts Him with her very life; and therefore, does not have to worry about it.  I think she is free to enjoy life and live in the moment, not looking back and not looking forward.  I think she adores her Father and longs to spend time with Him.  I think she loves others as He has loved her.

What about you?  Take some time in your journal to describe what a Child of God looks like. Selah.

Love and Blessings,

Day 35 "And You Are Beautiful"

Good Morning Beauties!

Transformation...God wants to change all of us, no matter where we are in our life's journey, we can always be drawing closer to Him.  What helps us draw closer?  Letting go of all the things standing between us.  If we believe a lie instead of His Truth, that lie stands in the way of a deeper walk with God.

Our walk with God grows ever brighter as we believe the Truth He has shared with our hearts. He has a special purpose for each one of us to fulfill, and we can best complete it when we are free to be the beautiful women He created.

Take time today to take a deep look  into your soul and bring Him anything troubling you.  He wants nothing more than to transform any darkness into His glorious light and reveal your True Beauty.  Selah.

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.

Day 34 "You Are Purity"
You Are Purity 3.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you heard the term, "Refiner's fire"?  It refers to God using difficult circumstances in our life (the fire) to refine us like gold...pure gold.  The process requires intense heat to remove the impurities.  Do you know this process?  Take time to journal what you've learned from seasons of "heat" in your life.

Let me encourage you with Truth.  God will not abandon you to the flames.  He is right there beside you, praying for you, rooting you on to victory.  He wants you to win!  "And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." 1 Peter 5:10

The purification process isn't easy, in fact it's difficult.  God asks us to die to ourselves so He can increase.  Die to pride, bitterness, selfishness, and the list goes on.  Filling up with His love, grace, mercy, kindness, peace, joy....then we will be the vessels He can use mightily in the world.  What do you need to burn today in order to make room for more of Him?  Selah.

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

Day 33 "Perfect In His Sight"
perfect in his sight.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you heard of a perfect diamond?  In doing a bit of research, I found it basically doesn't exist - at least not in any of the store you and I shop. "A flawless diamond that is perfectly colorless is phenomenally rare. How rare does that make diamonds that are perfect in color, clarity and also in cut? D color (perfectly colorless) IF (internally flawless) diamonds are estimated to represent a miniscule .001% of world diamond production."  Though a perfect diamond will never be found by you or me, WE have been found PERFECT by God!   We are made perfect through the love and redeeming work of Jesus Christ.

This word, "perfect"....do you struggle with it like I do? What lie does the enemy tell you as he torments you with perfectionism?  "You're not good enough."  "You must try even harder." "You still didn't do it right."  The lies in this area are harsh and long lasting. The enemy throws in words like rejected, unloved and unwanted.  Does that sound familiar? We go about trying to be perfect to avoid rejection and gain everyone's love and approval.

If we bring God's Truth to these lies, we will be free beyond imagination. I'm paraphrasing, but the Bible tells us, "I don't love you because you are perfect. The Father already loves you so much that I died to wash you clean and perfect you so you can be reconciled back to The Father."

This Truth may sound confusing and a little like we still need to be perfect for God. The fact is, God is Holy, and holiness and sin cannot coexist; therefore, we cannot be reconciled back to God without the purification that Jesus brings to us on the cross. Jesus makes us "Perfect in His sight."

Please join me today as I pray for all of us.  "Lord in Heaven, please silence the lie of perfectionism, and help us to believe in Your lavish love and acceptance."

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.

Day 32 "Darkness Turned To Light"
darkness turned to light 2.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

The skies in Minneapolis are dark and filled with storms today, yet the birds are singing their praise songs to The Lord.  Happy, at peace, filled with joy.  It makes me think of the contrast between dark and light, good and evil.

There was a time in my life where I had vivid spiritual battles in my dreams.  As I learned to claim the position I had in Christ, I began to win the battles.  The final dream was complete victory - I'll never forget it!  It was as if I was sitting in a dark theater with a large black movie screen in front of me, and the top left corner began to peel away exposing radiant white.  The entire black screen was peeled away, and I was surrounded by light and peace and love.  It was clear the battle was over, Jesus had won my soul.

"But you are God’s chosen treasure — priests who are kings, a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience His marvelous light, and now He claims you as His very own. He did this so that you would broadcast His glorious wonders throughout the world." 1 Peter 2:9 The Passion Translation

He will turn our darkness into His Marvelous Light.  It's His promise!  Our life of guilt and shame turned into a life of joy, peace, power, and strength.  We have a Glorious Savior!

What darkness in you needs to be exposed by the Light of The Lord?  Are you willing to accept His Promise?  Selah.

Love and Blessings,

Day 31 "You Are Purity"
You Are Purity 2.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

We have only 10 days left in our journey together.  Can you believe it?  I pray that you will dig deep and release the lies living in your heart during the next 2 attributes.  Freedom lives in the Truth of who you really are.

Today, let's look at two words the enemy uses to prevent us from knowing the freedom of our purity.  These words are guilt and shame.  Do you know them?  Do you live with them?  I'm convinced most women are well acquainted with guilt and shame, and their greatness is hindered because of it.

Guilt is the feeling of having done something wrong, not meeting expectations of others.  The enemy uses this feeling to bind us and keep us immobile.  What about when we do not meet the expectations of God?  Isn't there guilt?  No.  The Holy Spirit will bring conviction of doing the wrong thing, which allows us the opportunity to repent and ask to be forgiven.  This process moves us forward in freedom of knowing we are going to make mistakes, but God still loves us.

Guilt is the feeling of having done something bad, and shame is the feeling of being a bad person. It's a difference of our doing and are being.  Often times, the feeling of guilt will proceed into a feeling of shame.  The enemy makes it difficult to separate the two and destroys our self confidence.  The Truth is, there is a difference between our "do" and our "who."  We are not bad people, we are people who do bad things.

Sometimes we carry shame that belongs to someone else.  I think this situation is the most difficult.  We may carry it for years and years and truly believe that we are of no value just because someone else didn't value us.  We may even act out of that shameful place and add guilt to our already broken heart.  This behavior then becomes a cycle of adding shame, bad behavior, adding shame.  The enemy is such a destroyer of our self image, and he will use others to help his cause.

So, how do we rid ourselves of this cycle of destruction?  We must keep our eyes focused on Christ and on His Truth.  The Bible tells us, "When someone becomes a Christian, (s)he becomes a brand new person inside. (S)he is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!"  2 Corinthians 5:17  The Living Bible.  You are no longer the person of your past.  You are made brand new when you accept Jesus!  Brand spanking new!!

What things live in your heart that say, "You're a bad person"?  Bring those lies to God today so He can tell you the Truth.

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.

Day 30 "And You Are Beautiful"
YAB - Redeemed.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

God is so pleased with your journey with Him.  You have been faithful to meet with Him day after day with open heart to hear revelation of His Truth.  How do you see your beauty today compared to Day 1?  Do you see growth?  Do you feel closer to God?  Take time to make note of what God has done in your life these past 30 days.

Today I keep hearing how valuable I am to God.  Each one of us....so loved and so valued.  Knowing how much I am loved helps me understand how Jesus could pay the ransom for me.  He sees the real me, loves me despite my flaws, and was willing to pay the ultimate price for me.  The BEAUTY of Jesus' Perfect Love lives and breathes in me, and overflows to others.  It's nothing I could ever do, but everything He has done.

“The Son of Man has come to give life to anyone who is lost. Think of it this way: If a man owns a hundred sheep and one lamb wanders away and is lost, won’t he leave the ninety-nine grazing on the hillside and go out and thoroughly search for the one lost lamb? And if he finds his lost lamb, he rejoices over it, more than over the ninety-nine who are safe. Now you should understand that it is never the desire of your heavenly Father that a single one of these humble believers should be lost.”  Matthew 18:11-14  The Passion Translation

Have you ever felt overlooked?  Lost in the crowd?  God sees you as the unique individual He made you to be, and He loves you as this very special person.  What are your distinct qualities?  Do you embrace them or run from them? Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

We are Redeemed!  Hallelujah!!  This Truth is something to celebrate!!

It may have been difficult in the past few days to think about the suffering of our Lord Jesus, who paid the price for our sins with His Precious Blood in order to make a way for us back to The Father.  It's hard not to feel sickened by what He went through to guarantee our salvation.

Today I encourage you to rejoice in your redemption.  You've been given such a tremendous gift, and have considered the cost....now enjoy!  How will you allow yourself freedom to express your gladness and appreciation to the One who set you free?  Selah.

Day 28 "For You The Savior Died"
for you the Savior died.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

This week has been a tough one.  My Dad passed away, and today is his funeral.  I've been soaking in the reality of his death, which brought to mind how Jesus conquered the grave once and for all for my Dad, you, me, the world.  So in my sadness, there is joy.

I really like the blog I wrote on my 4th journey experience for today's lyric.  Please enjoy the "repeat" encouragement.....

Today may be a life changing experience for you. Have you allowed yourself to look at the Truth about what Jesus actually did for us? For you? This Truth is not for the faint of heart, so I ask you to be courageous with what He will show you today.

A couple of Bible verses that run through my mind in thinking of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for me. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." John 15:13 It is LOVE for us, for you, that Jesus died, so that we could be reconciled to The Father and live together for eternity.

We could stop there, and have this warm, ooey-gooey feeling, but can we just get real for a minute? The cross was anything but warm and fuzzy. It was torture. Let's be brave and take a look at the Truth of what Jesus endured for us, for you.

There is a song that touched my heart as a teenager and has stayed with me all these years. There is also a movie that has had a profound impact on my life. When you put them together, it is a bit overwhelming. To be honest, it is hard to watch, but I pray you will, so you will know Jesus more, and to have a better understanding of His depth of LOVE for you.

Beauty is courageous and brave!

Day 27 "The Lamb Was Crucified"
lamb was crucified.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Today I want to share the Truth and Beauty about The Lamb who was crucified for us.  The following passage is from Revelation 5:9-14 (New International Version.)  I pray you will find it inspirational in your worship time today.

And they sang a new song, saying:

“You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. In a loud voice they were saying:

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!”

Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power,
for ever and ever!”

The four living creatures said, “Amen,” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

The Perfect Sacrifice making the way for us to be reconciled to The Father.  BEAUTIFUL JESUS!!! Let's take a few minutes today to stop and worship our Savior.  Selah.

Day 26 "You Are Redeemed"
freedom.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

We begin a new attribute today, our redemption.  The word means, "To set something or someone free by paying a ransom."  We have been set free by the payment of Jesus' precious blood.  Is there anything more stunning than this act of love by our Abba Father and Jesus?  Selah.

I always want to know the "why behind the what."  I love revelation from God, but I also love to know why He chose to do something a certain way.  Are you like that too?  If we look at redemption, and the "why" behind it, we'll see it is for the Glory of God.  Let's look at what the Message Bible says about this subject in Ephesians 1:6-10....

The God of Glory

3-6 "How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son."

7-10 "Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people—free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds. And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need, letting us in on the plans he took such delight in making. He set it all out before us in Christ, a long-range plan in which everything would be brought together and summed up in him, everything in deepest heaven, everything on planet earth."

Our redemption is BEAUTIFUL!  Please listen to a moving song about your redemption and reflect in your journal what you hear from God.  Selah.

Day 25 "And You Are Beautiful"
YAB - righteous.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Have you processed through the Truth of your Righteousness?  Was there any lie standing in your way?  Have you received your gifts from The Father, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit?  If not, please pray for any obstacles to be moved from your path.

A life without having to measure up and be good enough...wow!  It's amazing!!  This carefree life is what God has for you.  Sure, there will still be trials, heartbreaks, and struggles, but knowing God accepts you just the way you are is a game changer.

You don't have to earn His love and attention.  He will answer you when you call in profouund ways, and will walk right beside you as you face hardships together.  This is the kind of life He has for you, and it allows your True Beauty to shine through any darkness.

The Message Bible describes it this way, "Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down."  Philippians 4:6-7(a)

Day 24 "You Are Righteous"
righteousness - pink.png

Good Morning Beauties!

The Lord is speaking to me today about taking action.  We've all heard the saying, "actions speak louder than words."  The Bible also says, "Faith without works is dead."  (James 2:17) Please don't confuse that verse by thinking works lead to our salvation...they don't.

He's also showing me that He has a part in our Righteousness, and we have a part.  Jesus' redemptive work on the cross saves us.  The Holy Spirit works to sanctifies us.  He sets us apart and, through time, makes us Holy.  God The Father sent Jesus to die for all of our sins, in fact, Jesus became sin and died to destroy the power of sin in our lives forever.  By removing death's power over us, it's as if we never sinned...we are justified.

Did you see all the action God, through the work of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, took to create our Righteousness?  Perhaps you can write the action words down in your journal and think about what He's done to ensure that you are in right standing with Him.

So what is our response?  What is our part?  I think it starts with gratitude.  Having revelation in our hearts of the lengths God went to in order to reconcile us back to Him results in a humble and contrite spirit.  With this humility, we move in obedience to the will of God, and our actions become who we are in other people's eyes - and more importantly, who God is in their eyes.

We are truly on display as God's workmanship.  What do others see when they look at your life? Selah.

Love and Blessings,

Day 23 "Forgiven Justified"
forgiven sanctified.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

How are you feeling about your Righteousness today?  Have you stopped all striving and are now resting in the Truth that you are already Right with God?

I usually look at the two words separately, but The Lord has shown me how they go together.  Forgiven Justified is one continuous thought.  Here is the scripture He lead me to,  "So let’s get this clear: it’s for My own sake that I save you. I am He who wipes the slate clean and erases your wrongdoing. I will not call to mind your sins anymore."  Isaiah 43:25 (The Voice Translation)

All of our mistakes are not only forgiven, but they are not even remembered.  It's as if they never existed to God.  How is this possible?  God is Love - Perfect Love, and Perfect Love casts out all fear and covers a multitude of sins. (1 John 4:18, 1 Peter 4:8)

What's the purpose of God forgiveness?  Is it to give us the example of how we are to forgive others?  Ephesians 4:31-32 puts it this way, "Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults. But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another. Has God graciously forgiven you? Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love." (The Passion Translation)

Once we have known the True loving forgiveness of The Father, we will be an outpouring of His love and grace and mercy to those who have hurt us.  Are you willing to forgive?  Are you willing to remember their sins against you no more?  Selah.

Love and Blessings,
Kendra

Day 22 "Saved And Sanctified"
Saved and Sanctified.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Today's Truth is so important.  It's a Truth that has the power to set you free from the bondage of sin and rescue your very soul.

Saved, "to keep safe or rescue (someone or something) from harm or danger."  In most Christian churches I've been to, the idea of being saved means a person has made a decision to repent of their sins and follow Jesus.  "She believes in Jesus, she's saved."  And while yes, this is True, if we look at the definition in relation to what Jesus did for us, he Rescued us from the greatest danger there is....eternal damnation.

I've often thought, as indescribably good as Heaven is, Hell is indescribably bad.  We really can't fathom the blessing of Heaven or the curse of Hell, but Jesus has rescued us from Hell so that we may dwell with Him in Heaven for eternity.  Hallelujah!  Selah.

Now that we are rescued, we must be sanctified.  "set apart as or declare holy; consecrate."  There is much to be said about sanctification, and I have included a link to a study of Romans 6 below.  Please consider reviewing the study throughout the week to gain a better knowledge along with the Truth God is revealing to you.

Day 21 "You Are Righteous
you are righteous.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

It may be damp and dreary weather, but today is still an amazing day in the Lord!  His light and love can break through any darkness in the weather...and in your heart.

We're moving on to the 5th attribute of who we are in Christ.  Today we begin looking at the Truth of our Righteousness.  The simple Christian definition is, "A right standing with God."

No longer bound by guilt and shame of past behaviors or titles given to you by others, you can be free to walk in your Righteousness with God.  Hallelujah!  You no longer have to strive to be perfect to be acceptable to God, He already sees you as perfect!

Jesus died on a cross so you could be reconciled and in right standing with The Father.  There's nothing you could possibly do to earn your Righteousness, it has already been done by Jesus.

I love the first 2 verses of Romans 5, "Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and He now declares us flawless in His eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!" (The Passion Translation)

Rejoice today!  Lay down your burdens and the lies you've carried, and simply trust in the Truth of your Righteousness.  Selah.

Day 20 "And You Are Beautiful"
YAB royalty.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Let's check in. You're half way through your journey.  It's time to assess - Do you believe it? That you truly are beautiful? Is God's amazing truth sinking in ...from the outside feelings making it's way to the core of your being as absolute Truth?

If you've been on my website and read "Meet Kendra," you know that the scripture verses found in Isaiah 61:1-3 are very special to me. In verse 3, it says that Jesus will give us "Beauty for Ashes." I love that picture!  God restores us back to the beautiful, innocent, and free little girl He originally created, before the sin of this world caused the ashes.

God's beautiful exchange. He gave us Jesus, who died so that we could live. He takes our ashes (our pain, wounds, suffering) and exchanges them for beauty (joy, peace, love). What an amazing God we have!!!

I pray today that we all can let go of all, some, or even one of our ashes, and exchange them for the beautiful life He has for us, filled with freedom, love, joy and peace.

What comes to mind to let go first?  Selah.

Good Morning Beauties!

Wow!  Do you realize you're almost half way through your journey?  That's amazing!  The last thing the enemy wants is to lose control over your thoughts and beliefs, so he most likely is stirring up the battle in your life.  Have you noticed increased inner conflict lately?

An advantage of being in The Royal Family is that we have a Strong Tower we can run to....Jesus!  He is our refuge in times of trouble.  When the enemy is closing in, you don't have to be afraid.  You have all the protection you need in Jesus.

Day 18 "Heaven's Glow From You Abounds"
heavens glow.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

How do you define "Heaven's Glow"?  What is it exactly?  I think it's open for interpretation, but when I wrote the lyric, I was thinking about the love and light of Jesus pouring through us to bless others.

The Voice Bible Translation describes it this way, "And you, beloved, are the light of the world. A city built on a hilltop cannot be hidden. Similarly it would be silly to light a lamp and then hide it under a bowl. When someone lights a lamp, she puts it on a table or a desk or a chair, and the light illumines the entire house. You are like that illuminating light. Let your light shine everywhere you go, that you may illumine creation, so men and women everywhere may see your good actions, may see creation at its fullest, may see your devotion to Me, and may turn and praise your Father in heaven because of it." (Matthew 5:14-16)

The love of the Lord sets us free and allows the unquenchable glow to radiate from our very souls.  Have you ever seen a young woman in love?  Whether she's in love with a man, or perhaps she is pregnant with her child - she glows.  Do we think it would be any different to be filled with the Perfect Love of God?  Nope, we glow!

How will you let Heaven's Glow bless you today, so you can then bless others?  Selah.

Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"
victor's crown.jpg

Good Morning Beauties!

Victory - an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition. (Google Dictionary)  If we walk this Earth with Christ as our Lord, we are victorious!   Jesus wore the True Victor's Crown - the crown of thorns - as He died on the cross to defeat the power of sin and death once and for all.  He won the battle when He rose from the grave into new life and now sits at the right hand of Father God.

How are you walking today?  As a victor or victim?  Sisters, we can not be both.  The enemy will continue to steal, kill, and destroy - but he does not have the victory over you - he does not have power over you.  Jesus told His disciples, “If you truly want to follow me, you should at once completely reject and disown your own life. And you must be willing to share my cross and experience it as your own, as you continually surrender to my ways." (Matthew 16:24)  Jesus wants to lead us into a Victorious life, but He demands complete surrender.

You are stronger than you think.  You are courageous and brave.  Will you obey through your fear and lay down your life (ambitions, hopes, dreams) to follow Him?  When you surrender, you will find Him faithful.  Ephesians 3:20 puts it this way, "Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you."

Are you willing? Selah.
