Day 21 "You Are Righteous"

Found Innocent by Grace

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Do you hear lies saying, “You’re not good enough”? How about, “You’re a mistake”? Or even, “God will never forgive you”? Today is the day to lay the lies down at the feet of Jesus and put on your robe of RIGHTEOUSNESS. The truth is you are good enough, you’re not a mistake, and God has already forgiven you. The work Jesus completed on the cross declares us right before our Holy God, and no lie from the enemy will ever change that.

Let’s look at truth directly from the Word of God…

“Now that we have been made right with God by putting our trust in Him, we have peace with Him. It is because of what our Lord Jesus Christ did for us.  By putting our trust in God, He has given us His loving-favor and has received us. We are happy for the hope we have of sharing the shining-greatness of God.” Romans 5:1-2 (NLT)

Beauties, there’s absolutely nothing we could ever do to earn our right standing with God. Our righteousness is completely because of who Jesus is and what He did for us on the cross. Let’s celebrate the gift of RIGHTEOUSNESS He’s given us today!

But now God has made another way to make men right with Himself. It is not by the Law. The Law and the early preachers tell about it. Men become right with God by putting their trust in Jesus Christ. God will accept men if they come this way.

Day 20 "And You Are Beautiful"

Fearless Beauty

Good Morning Beauties!

Oh my goodness, so much can happen in a matter of days! It’s only been 10 days since our last “check-in” where we reflected on our journey to date. Our world is changing exponentially. How has your life been impacted? Selah.

Today is important to stop and make time to gather your thoughts, your feelings, and your beliefs in light of your new reality. Usually on days of reflection, we look at the preparation steps and determine if they’re helpful in making your journey successful. I think it’s important to do so again today, but there’s more. How are you doing? Really doing? In your journal, write how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking, and how both are forming your beliefs. Now, determine if those beliefs are based on God’s truth or the circumstances surrounding you. Selah.

All it takes is to watch an hour of the news to bring fear and anxiety into our minds. The world is suffering right now, there’s no doubt about it. But, sweet Beauties, we are not of this world. Our true home is with God, and His promises are yes and AMEN. His Word tells us we will have trouble, but He will be right there with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Do you believe Him? Selah.

We must pray for wisdom and make good choices. Panic only brings fear and doubt into our souls. Fear is not of God, so don’t allow it to rule your life. What are you allowing into your mind? Is it the news or the Good News? Are your conversations about how the enemy has sickened the world, or how Jesus came to the world to heal the sick? Selah.

I’m praying for all of you today. I pray we all can have that same confidence in God as we continue to walk on our journeys. I pray for the HUGE worldly distractions to be quieted so we can hear His still small voice. I pray we see growth in our courage, bravery, and BEAUTY.

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control].

Day 19 "You Are Royalty"

God’s Royal Jewel

Good Morning Beauties!

The past few days we’ve looked at our inclusion in the Royal Family of God. What has the Holy Spirit revealed to you in this regard? What has He said about suffering, about God’s unending love for you? Selah.

As much as I want to celebrate our Royalty with dancing and singing, there’s a weight on my heart today. There are so many strong Christian sisters in my life who are struggling right now. They are committed to Christ and all He’s called them to be and do. They are committed to their husbands and children. They are committed to performing with excellence at their jobs. They are committed and responsible for the ministry God has given them.

They’re ALL IN and surrendered to Christ; however, the load has become heavy . God’s peace and security has been replaced with the enemy’s fear, anxiety, and insecurity. Can you relate? Selah.

Today I want to lovingly adjust your crown that may have fallen a little to one side. A few years ago I found a wonderful blog speaking about this subject. Christi Given has written an article on the confidence of knowing we’re royal, even when we’re weary in the fight. Enjoy and be encouraged!

Christi writes, “I wouldn’t say insecurity is a SIN, but I would say doubt, holding back, burying your talents (Matthew 25:13-40) and living in fear is not pleasing to God. There are many verses on God saying and commanding, “Do not fear….” We need to be obedient to this because God knows worrying doesn’t add anything to our lives; rather, it just wastes time and energy. Insecurity stems from doubt, fear and a lack of confidence, but when we are confident in GOD, not in ourselves, that is when we have the victory.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)

God does call us to be bold, to not shrink back, and to walk in the spirit, to walk in victory. The Word of God has said the Lord hasn’t given us a spirit of timidity (2 Timothy 1:7). We all feel at times that we may not be eligible or qualified, but we need to walk in the security of our royalty as daughters of the King.”

Here are 10 verses to help you overcome insecurity:

1. Philippians 4:13: “I can do ALL things THROUGH Christ who gives me strength.” This means that we can’t do the things God calls us to do on our own. We need the power of Christ in us by the Holy Spirit, and when we lean on him, we have total victory.

2. Galatians 5:16: “So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.” When we walk with God and deny our flesh, we will understand our royal identity and know that in the end God has already won and “it is finished.”

3. 1 John 4:18: “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” This verse says that the one who fears isn’t made perfect in God’s love…we need to have a revelation of HOW MUCH GOD LOVES US!

4. Matthew 25:29: “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away.” If you are faithful with the little things, God will entrust you with more, and the same goes with trusting God in your capabilities. Step out, volunteer, give, be a good steward, do things for God’s Kingdom even if you are scared…God will be with you!

5. Hebrews 10:38: “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” God is not pleased when we doubt Him, or bow down to fear. God goes before us and wants us to be courageous. Our actions and lives represent how much we trust Him and what we are willing to do to serve His Kingdom.

6. 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” Remind yourself you are REAL royalty! We come from the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and are called to be leaders, while following Christ…we have the authority of leadership because Christ died for us, taking our place and making us heirs as God’s children.

7. Galatians 3:26-27: “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.” You are God’s child, and if you are walking in the fruits of the Spirit and honoring God with your life in faith, then you are a child of LIGHT, not darkness. Fear is of the enemy, doubt is equivalent to the oceans being tossed to and fro in the sea, and courage comes from God’s truth, which sets us free.

8. James 1:22: “Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Be not only a hearer of the Word, but a doer of the Word. Yes, we all have feelings of fear or doubt, and we can tend to listen to our thoughts or walk in a spirit contrary to God’s Word, but the Lord is very clear that we not only read the Bible, but that we also ask God for strength to do what God asks us. God will help us to walk in obedience when we humble ourselves and surrender our lives to Him. It is IMPOSSIBLE to do this alone in our own strength, which is why we need God’s daily bread (spiritual food), the living water of the Word and communion with Him through prayer. Let’s be doers, not doubters, amen?!

9. James 1:6: “But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.” Believe and don’t doubt God’s Word. God keeps His Word and is FAITHFUL!

10. Psalm 139:13: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Don’t compare yourself to others, as God knit you in your Mother’s womb and has a unique call and destiny for YOUR life.

Rest in the love of your Father today. Your life is in His hands. Let go of all the fear and anxiety - just be held.

Day 18 "Heaven's Glow From You Abounds"

Abounding Glow of Love

Good Morning Beauties!

How do we know if we’re walking in the freedom Christ died to give us? Isn’t that what this journey’s about? So, how do we know if we’re making progress? Will we feel something? Will we look different? Will there be tangible results? Yes.

Today’s lyric is one of my favorite. God gave me a beautiful picture in my head of His warm golden glow coming from Heaven to live in and through us. As we uncover the lies of the enemy residing in us, Heaven’s glow (His truth and love) will illuminate the darkness and eventually overflow onto others.

I bet you’ve seen people you know appear to be glowing. Whether it’s new found romantic love, the fullness of an expected baby, or perhaps during worship, an overwhelming expression of love is surely the reason. God allows these intense moments on Earth so we may get a glimpse of how much He loves us.

When we have a taste of the goodness of God, all we can do is share it with others. Holding it in is selfish, and the love of God is anything but self serving. His love always serves others.

So, the answer again is yes. We will reveal our progress by the way we feel, look, and love others. How is your progress? Selah.

Soak in some of His glow this morning…

Day 17 "You Wear The Victor's Crown"

Beautiful Surrender

Good Morning Beauties!

Victory - an act of defeating an enemy or opponent in a battle, game, or other competition. (Google Dictionary)  If we walk this Earth with Christ as our Lord, we are victorious!   Jesus wore the True Victor's Crown - the crown of thorns - as He died on the cross to defeat the power of sin and death once and for all.  He won the battle when He rose from the grave into new life and now sits at the right hand of Father God.

How are you walking today?  As a victor or victim?  Sisters, we can not be both.  The enemy will continue to steal, kill, and destroy - but he does not have the victory over you - he does not have power over you.  Jesus told His disciples, “If you truly want to follow me, you should at once completely reject and disown your own life. And you must be willing to share my cross and experience it as your own, as you continually surrender to my ways." (Matthew 16:24)  Jesus wants to lead us into a Victorious life, but He demands complete surrender.

You are stronger than you think.  You are courageous and brave.  Will you obey through your fear and lay down your life (ambitions, hopes, dreams) to follow Him?  When you surrender, you will find Him faithful.  Ephesians 3:20 puts it this way, "Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you."

Are you willing? Selah.

Day 16 "You Are Royalty"

Royal Bride

Good Morning Beauties!

Daughters of kings are among your honored women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.” Psalm 45:9 (NIV)

This verse is one of many which speak about our place in God’s Royal Family. What does it mean to hold the status of Royal Bride? Is God’s Royal Family different than your Earthly family? What are the benefits of belonging to God’s family? Are there any draw backs? Selah.

“Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:4-5 (NLT)

When you believe in Jesus you are given the right to become a child of God. Technically, we’re all children of God in one sense, He made us all after all, but the Bible says that if we believe in Jesus we are His actual children adopted into His actual family. So next time you think you’re not very special or you think you’re not important to God, remember that if you believe in Jesus then you are a part of God’s family, and He’s the King! That makes you a princess in the Kingdom of God!

Thank you Abba Father for calling us into your Royal Family - a place where we belong, forever.

Day 15 "And You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Countenance

Good Morning Beauties!

“When Moses met with God on the mountain, His face shone with the glory of God's presence. As believers, we see even greater glory in God's presence through the Holy Spirit. Let us spend time in His presence so that we reflect His glory and love to those around us!” Pastor Phil Vance

The beauty of the Lord is what makes our countenance beautiful. He shines His face upon us, and we shine. Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) Describes us as, “the display of His splendor.” Is there anything preventing His beauty from shining through you? Selah.

For me, when I experience anxiety, I know others are not seeing the fulness of God. Can you relate? It furthers my frustration to know I’m not displaying His splendor at those times. What do I do? I turn to the Word of God for encouragement and peace.

Jesus gives one of the greatest invitations of all time,“Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 (NLT)

Here is a beautiful reminder from Paul, a man who suffered greatly and was still able to rejoice in the Lord. He wrote, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV) Beauties, give your burdens to Jesus, lay them down at His feet and experience the undeniable peace and joy that accompany His grace.

What are your “go to” scriptures to encourage you when you’re not at your best? Write them in your journal and pray they sink in at a deeper level. Selah.

Take time today to enter into His presence and celebrate your beauty. Dance, sing, and rejoice in the Lord for giving you this glorious new life in Him. A life that has defeated the enemy and his lies.

Day 14 "You Are Joyful"

Joyful Light in the Darkness

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

The Lord, in His goodness, has deepened my knowledge about joy today, and I’d love to share with you some insights.

The joy of the Lord is much more than an emotion, it’s an anchor for our souls; a place of peace and security. Do you know this place? What have you learned about your joy these past few days? On a scale of 1-5, how would you rate your joy? Do you want a higher score? What’s stealng your joy? Are you able to identify the culprit? Selah.

The enemy uses many things in this world to steal, kill, and destroy our joy - loss of a loved one, financial hardship, health crisis, feelings of rejection, divorce, infertility. These are just a few of truly difficult things we may experience in our lifetimes. How do we maintain our joyful spirit during such hardships?

Jesus provides us the example. “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3 (NIV) Jesus’ focus was on us when He went to the cross, not on His personal suffering, but on His purpose to save us and reconcile us to the Father for eternity.

If I’ve truly surrendered my life to Christ, suffering will always be secondary to the glory of His fulfilled purpose in me. Read this statement aloud three times. What does the Holy Spirit want to reveal to you? Selah.

Let’s take back our joy from the enemy! Lay down any anxiety to your Savior who makes the darkness tremble and silences our fear.

Day 13 "Grace Has Brought You Peace"

Beautiful Peace

Good Morning Beauties!

Grace…Amazing Grace. It is so sweet, isn’t it? I think it will take a lifetime to fully grasp all that God has done through Christ. How do you see grace? What does it mean to you? Selah.

When I was writing this lyric, the word peace came first. I had to think of what one thing brings me the most peace, and after much contemplation, I realized it was grace. I am saved through grace. I am loved just as I am through grace. I have favor with God through grace. Salvation, love, and favor bring me peace.

I see peace as a process with several parts formed in a circle. Each time I go around the circle, my peace increases. The circle begins with God’s Word (Jesus), and moves to belief. Do I believe what i read in scripture as truth? If I do, then the next step is trust. In trusting God, I can lay down my fears in faith. The next step is accepting God’s grace as I surrender my life to Him. In this beautiful exchange of my life for His, I find extraordinary peace. This is my view of how God’s Amazing Grace brings me peace. What is yours? Selah.

Let’s praise God today for taking our brokenness and making us whole through His grace.

Day 12 "Your Spirit's Been Set Free"

Free Indeed

Good Morning Beauties!

“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sinful nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent his own Son in a body like the bodies we sinners have. And in that body God declared an end to sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. He did this so that the just requirement of the law would be fully satisfied for us, who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit.” Romans 8:1-4 (NLT)

Hallelujah! We are free from the power of sin and death. We who believe in Jesus as our Savior are Free!!

Day 11 "You Are Joyful"

Pure Joy

Good Morning Beauties!

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the suffering and afflicted. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted, to announce liberty to captives, and to open the eyes of the blind. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of God’s favor to them has come, and the day of his wrath to their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel he will give: beauty for ashes; joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness. For God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory.”
Isaiah 61:1-3 The Living Bible

Beauties, this passage describes the Good News of Jesus. It paints a picture of the beautiful life found in Christ, our Savior. It speaks of the transformation available to those who believe in Jesus and make Him the Lord of their life. Do you know this Jesus? Not know “of” Him, but know the person of Jesus? Do you remember that moment you met Him? Selah.

Let’s take time today to thank Jesus for giving us this new life, and let’s remember where He’s taken us from and where He’s taken us to. My list is long. How about yours? Selah.

We’ve all got a reason to celebrate the absolute goodness of God and how He replaced our sorrow with joy.

Day 10 "And You Are Beautiful"

New Creation

Good Morning Beauties!

You are beautiful! It’s a fact, it’s true, there’s no changing it. What do you hear in your mind when you read about the truth of your beauty? What lies still exist? Selah.

At this point in the journey I like to check in and see how God has made any changes in your belief about your beauty as well as evaluate the effectiveness of the three steps of your preparation.

Please watch this video which was originally a social experiment about how people see their own beauty. I find it heartbreaking that the vast majority of the participants had a very uncomfortable or negative reaction. Take note of your heart reaction. What is the Spirit revealing to you? Selah.

*Disclaimer - there is a bit of foul language from one of the participants. What does her anger tell you about the way she feels about herself and the destruction to her self worth caused by the enemy? Selah.

People React To Being Called Beautiful

Now, given your reaction to the video, how is your 40 Day Journey experience helping you understand your true identity in Christ? Your true beauty in Him? Selah.

Let’s look at your preparation plans and see if any adjustments need to be made. Is the journey meeting your expectations? Have they changed? Do they need to change? Selah.

Have you found your action plans are keeping obstacles to your growth at bay? Have you identified new road blocks you had not anticipated? Do you have plan to overcome them? Selah.

Lastly, are you still motivated to continue the journey through the entire 40 Days? Have you noticed a shift in your reason for taking this journey, or has it remained the same? Selah.

Spend time with Jesus today answering these questions. Let Him speak to you as He mends broken places and strengthens you. What do you need from Him to make new today? Selah.

Day 9 "You Are Lovely"

Bold In Who We Are

Good Morning Beauties!

In the past few days we’ve looked at both the strength and gentleness of the attribute, lovely. What has the Holy Spirit revealed about your loveliness? About the loveliness of Jesus? Selah.

On Day 6, I mentioned, “If we look at the root word, “love,” it has everything to do with God - He IS love. Our loveliness comes from Him and lives in us through Jesus Christ.” Do you believe this statement? What are some ways you reflect the love of Jesus? Write them down in your journal, and thank God that He uses you in such loving ways. Selah.

How do you see your strength and gentleness being used by God? My prayer today was for the Holy Spirit to direct me on when to assert power and when to love through meekness. What’s your prayer today? Selah.

I pray you have come to know more of your true identity through looking at your loveliness. Come out of hiding and be the person Jesus made you to be. You have His power, you have His gentle spirit, you have His LOVE to share with the world. Despite the lies you’ve heard and believed in your past - today is the day to step out in boldness to display His splendor.

Let’s praise Him for being all we need - powerful strength and kind gentleness.

Day 8 "Yet You Wear Humility"

Beautiful Humility

Good Morning Beauties!

Humility - there are many ideas of what this word means. One from the dictionary is “a modest or low view of one's own importance.” A more Biblical view includes, “the practice of meekness, obedience to God, respect of self and others, submissiveness and modesty.” How do you define humility? Selah.

I like to look at it this way, it’s not how highly you think of yourself, or how lowly - it’s that you don’t think of yourself before others. At times of insecurity, I find myself in “self-preservation mode” and I think of myself first, not that of others, even loved ones. Can you relate? Selah.

The truth is, God is our protecter and provider. Our security is found in Him. We don’t have to worry about our own protection. Everything we need is found in Jesus.

One thing is for sure, nobody ever lived a more humble life than Jesus. He is the epitome of the word. The purpose of His life on Earth was to die for the sins of the world so that all may be reconciled to The Father for eternity.

One of my favorite examples of Jesus’ humility was when he said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they’re doing.” He said this statement about the very men who were nailing Him to the cross. What are some more examples of the humility of Jesus? Which ones bless you the most? Selah.

There are several scriptures that inform us pride will ultimately be our destruction, while humility will be rewarded. Take a look in your Bible for these examples, and write them in your journal. Ask the Spirit to reveal any areas of your life where you need to humble yourself. Selah.

“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:3-11 (NIV)

Let’s worship Jesus for His ultimate humble act of love that has saved each of us and has given us new life.

Day 7 "Clothed In His Majesty"

Beauty of His Majesty

Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!

Clothed in the majesty of God. What a picture! What does your picture look like? Can you describe it? Can you draw it, paint it, take a photo of it? Selah.

When I hear the word, “majesty,” I think of glorious mountains. They’re so grand and awesome, and the only word I find to describe them is majestic. It’s a word I reserve for God and His beautiful creation.

A definition of majesty is “royal power.” That makes sense. All power and glory belong to God.

King David praises God, “Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” Psalm 8:1 (NIV) King David celebrates the supreme power of God over everything. He declares from the beginning that God has no rival. He is subject to no other power, and He reigns supreme.

How do we possibly share God’s Majesty? Because we reign with Him. We reign in majesty with our King. Here’s what the Bible tells us, “This is a trustworthy saying: If we die with him, we will also live with him. If we endure hardship, we will reign with him.” 2 Tim 2:11-12 (NLT)

Paul explains our rightful and current place with Jesus, “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.” Ephesians 2:4-7 (NIV)

Let this truth sink in. Take time to ponder your “oneness” with Jesus and that you are truly clothed in His majesty - His royal power. Selah.

Beauty of Gentle Strength

Good Morning Beauties!

Today our journey takes us to examine our loveliness. When you first hear the word, what comes to your mind? How do you describe it? What do you believe as you apply it to yourself? Selah.

Growing up, I was a tomboy and my older sister was the family princess - the lovely one. Beautiful in every way, slender, feminine, long flowing hair. I was short and stout and wore a pixie cut. I felt and believed I was anything but lovely. That belief was a lie, and I carried it for so many years.

Through this journey experience, I’ve come to know my loveliness, and I embrace it. I’ve discovered it has nothing to do with me really, but everything with God. If we look at the root word, “love,” it has everything to do with God - He IS love. Our loveliness comes from Him and lives in us through Jesus Christ.

Loveliness isn’t solely gentleness, but it’s also strength! Jesus was the perfect example of both. God’s creation also shows us how these two opposites work together. Take a look at the photo above. Do you marvel at how a sweet and dainty flower pushes through cold and hard ground to make an appearance every Spring? It’s truly miraculous! What is God asking you to push through? You have the strength in Him to breakthrough the hard ground. Selah.

Below is a beautiful song sung by a sweet choir. Here are the words…

“O God of gentle strength, Your love embraces me.
Within the sureness of Your care, my heart rests willingly.
Your waters of rebirth have claimed us as Your own.
As members of one body, we shall never be alone.
And when life’s challenges eclipse our minds with doubt,
Let Holy wisdom spark a flame to drive the darkness out.
Where will the journey lead? The path may be obscure.
But promised hope of things unseen will keep our footing sure.”

Day 5 "Yes, You Are Beautiful"

Matter of the Heart

Good Morning Beauties!

You are strong, courageous, and brave! God is so pleased by your dedication to the journey and your devotion to Jesus. Some may say “it’s only been a few days,” but I’ve found it’s the first few days when you’re creating new habits that’s the hardest. Great job for staying on your journey!

Today, let’s take a look at the truths in the first stanza of the song. You are beautiful, you are the daughter of The King, you are loved above all things. What are you believing about your beauty today? Have you thought more about your title of Princess in the Royal Family? What does it mean to you to be loved by God more than any of His creation and more than any of your sin? Selah.

All of our journeys look different. We’re all in different places along our journey with God. Some are in the middle of a painful place, some have moved through the pain and are on the other side. One thing we all have in common, we will experience pain in our lives here on Earth. We all need Jesus to help us through the twists and turns of our journeys.

Wherever you are right now, praise God that He sees your heart and doesn’t judge you like the world does. He knows you best and loves you most. Hallelujah!

The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

Day 4 "You Are Beautiful"

Beautiful Maturity

Good Morning Beauties!

I’ve had such a glorious time with the Lord this morning. The Spirit has filled my heart with knowledge and revelation, and I’d love to share with you as a way to encourage your journey.

The Spirit whispered, “Beauty comes when you’re living your true self; anything else is an ugly fraud.”

So Beauties, how would you describe your true self? What aspects of your character are beautiful? Go ahead, write them down. It’s not prideful to admit God has blessed you with His character; after all, you were created in His image. What are your three favorite character traits? Selah.

Now, write them in your journal as an affirmation. Here are mine:
Integrity is beautiful!
Authenticity is beautiful!
Generosity is beautiful!

Let’s look what God says about character. “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.  And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:1-5 (NLT)

How is the Spirit speaking to you about this passage? What words or phrases stand out to you? Pray and ask for revelation knowledge about those things. Selah.

This scripture wonderfully describes Christian maturity. This growth in the Lord allows us to walk with Him in the full measure of hope and joy ouf our salvation. Hallelujah! I pray this scripture blesses you as it has me this morning. Your beauty runs deep, and we get to see it through your strength of character. Celebrate the true you today!

Listen to this song and hear in your heart the truth God says about you.

A wife, (or woman) of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.

Day 3 "Loved Above All Things"

It’s All About LOVE

Good Morning Beauties!

What do you make of today’s truth, you’re loved above all things? It helps to define “all things.” What does that phrase mean to you?

Does it mean all of God’s glorious creation? He loves you more than the most beautiful sunset sky? More than the majestic mountains? More than a delicate orchid? Or does “all things” mean your sin? He loves you more than any sin you could possibly commit? More than rebellion? More than unforgiveness? Or does all things mean both? He loves you more than the beauty of His creation and more than your sin? Selah.

However you define “all things" know that God loves you above it. He elevates your value and says, “I love my beautiful daughter more than anything.” Do you believe it? Selah.

The Bible is our Love Letter from God. Over and over, in every book, God demonstrates His love for us. Take time today to look up a few examples that hold special meaning for you. Reread those stories and experience God’s love for you in a deeper way.

Day 2 "Daughter Of The King"

Choices

Good Morning Beauties!

Tension. There is great tension between the temporal things of this world and the true things of the eternal. Often our identity gets stuck in Earthly beliefs as we replay lies from the enemy in our minds. Though we hear messages to the contrary, we still live out a false identity and never fulfill the abundant life Jesus died to give us.

How do we relieve this tension? Thankfully, there is so much we can do. The first thing we can do to walk in truth is to seek the Lord in prayer and ask Him to reveal any lies we’re believing. He is gracious and kind and most worthy of our trust. Are you willing to hear all He has to say? Selah.

We can also seek the Lord in His Word, the Bible. There, He will speak truth directly to our hearts. In Psalm 45, we read a beautiful wedding song. In verses 10-11, the answer to relieving this tension is given. “Listen, O Daughter, consider and give ear; forget your people and your father’s house. The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor Him, for He is your Lord.” (NIV)

What is God saying to you in these verses? What is God asking of you in this passage? Does this change how you see yourself and your Heavenly position in the Royal Family? Selah.

I love the story in Mark 5 of the woman with an issue of blood. She knew in her heart she only needed to touch the hem of Jesus’s garment, and she would be healed. Her faith propelled her forward into healing and new life. A life of freedom.

Will you move forward in faith, forgetting what’s behind, and wear your crown? Will you accept this great gift from your Heavenly Father? Beauties, we have the choice to become all we’re meant to be, or to sink back into the roles we were given by the world. What will you choose? Selah.

Beauty, you are the Daughter of The Most High King! No matter what you’ve ever heard to the contrary, no matter what negative messages you’ve ever heard, you are beautiful and you are loved.
