Beautiful Inner Peace
Good Morning Beauties!
We’re half way through the 40 Day Journey. Can you believe it? You’ve made many sacrifices to be here, to meet with Jesus each day, hear from Him as He reveals truth, and deepen your relationship with your King. How AWESOME!!! Your hard work will be rewarded with the best gift ever - Jesus.
This morning, the Lord is impressing upon my heart to look at the beauty of peace - having a peaceful mind, heart, and life with others.
The most peaceful people are the most beautiful. Have you ever noticed? Think of someone you know who you think is absolutely beautiful. Now consider her level of inner peace, the peace that only comes from God, Himself. Who is she? How has her peaceful spirit inspired you? Selah.
Next, let’s take a look at what the Bible says about peace:
“And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 (NIV)
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” Isiah 26:3-4 (NIV)
“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” Romans 14:19 (NIV)
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:18 (NIV)
In Ephesians 6:15 it refers to the Gospel as the “Gospel of Peace.” I’ve been thinking about that a lot lately. The Gospel of Jesus is usually thought of as a Gospel of Love, right? It’s also the Gospel - the Good News - of peace. Why do you think it’s so important to Jesus we live in peace with Him, ourselves, and others? What area of your life do you need God’s peace? Make that your prayer today. Selah.
