Day 23 "Forgiven, Justified"

Say YES to Jesus, Say YES to Life

Good Morning Beauties!

“Blessed are those  whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” Romans 4:7 (NIV)

We know that God’s kindness leads us to repentance, (Romans 2:4) and in that sweet place, we are forgiven. Forgiven of all sin past, present and future. All sin is forgiven. Only our beautiful Savior can do that!

Where do we see God’s kindness? Let’s take a look at His Word to find the answer. “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8 (NIV) God’s love for you is immeasurable! He knew all your mistakes and still sent His Son to die for you He knows you better than anyone and also loves you more than anyone. We have a remarkably kind Father. Where have you seen the kindness of God in your life? What was your response? 2025 is a new year. How will the reflection of your salvation and all of His continuing kindness create something new in you this year? Selah.

“…as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.” Psalm 103:12 (NIV) Your sins are completely forgiven and forgotten. As humans, it’s almost impossible to forget when someone sins against us even though we’ve forgiven them. Perhaps this is why it’s hard for us to believe God is capable of forgetting our sins. The truth is, He is able, and He does! What are the sins you want to bring to Jesus today? What burdens do you still carry? He wants you to let go of anything that stands in the way of a deeper relationship with Him. Will you ask Him to forgive you? Will you forgive yourself? Selah.

Our loving God forgives us, and also justifies us. When brought before the Righteous Judge, we will be seen as innocent. Our faith in Jesus has saved us from the punishment due from our sins. I’m not sure where I first heard this explanation of “justification” but I like it. The statement says, “it’s just as if you’ve never sinned.”

Here’s what God’s Word says, “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2 (NIV)

If you have never asked for personal forgiveness from God and turned your life over to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, today is the day. Why wait? What is stopping you? The enemy will do everything to steal, kill, and destroy the life God sent Jesus to give you. it’s time to listen to the Holy Spirit’s sweet whisper instead of the loud chatter of the enemy. Will you say YES to Jesus and begin your new life with Him today? Selah.

Love and Blessings,

If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.
