“So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. Merry Christmas Eve Day! I’ve come to realize I love this day even more than Christmas Day. All of our anticipation of the Christ Child’s arrival happens tonight. Choirs of Angels sing praises to Jesus tonight. Families gather and attend church services and light candles tonight. The reverence, the joy, the absolute BEAUTY of Christmas Eve is like none other.
As you celebrate the birth of Jesus, are you also able to celebrate you? When you were born, the angels in heaven joined The Father in praise for His glorious work….you. The Bible says, “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139:14 (NIV) Do you believe this truth? What prevents you from celebrating the masterpiece God created? Selah.
Let’s look at more truth. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) Take time to think about this truth and write down how your life is a masterpiece. Be specific, and then thank God for creating you, His child. Selah.
