Day 19 "You Are Royalty"
Happy Lord’s Day Beauties!
“You will be a crown of splendor in the Lord’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God.” Isaiah 62:3 (NIV)
Can you picture it? You are a crown, adored by God, and placed in his hand. What does that placement mean to you? Selah.
For me, it means I’m safe and secure, protected, and blessed with God’s provision. It also means I share his attributes as I receive and wear the crown he has for me.
Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He rightly is the embodiment of Royalty. When we repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our Savior, he comes to dwell within us. His attributes become our attributes.
With Easter drawing near, I’m thinking more about Jesus as a human here on Earth and all he endured as the Son of Man. I’ve pulled some descriptions from the song “ROYALTY” and it brought to light how Jesus truly knows our sufferings. He is not without understanding of our pain and temptations. (Hebrews 4:15)
Take a look at these attributes and see how they can be said of Jesus, but also of ourselves. Which particular words is the Holy Spirit illuminating for you. What are the similarities you have with the life and sufferings of Jesus? Are you willing to accept the descriptions of royalty as your own? Journal about what he’s showing you. Selah.
Who we are:
From rejected to accepted
From forgotten to remembered
From victim to victor
From abandoned to exalted
From broken to beloved
From darkness to light
From death to life
Royalty:
Worthy
Wanted
Chosen
Redeemed
Crowned in dignity
Heirs to majesty
Made for victory
Given authority
He’s holding your crown in his hands. Will you receive and wear it? Is something preventing you from taking this life-changing step? Don’t let lies of unworthiness and shame hinder you from accepting all Jesus has for you. Selah.
