Shout For Joy
Good Morning Beauties!
“Oh, come, let us sing to the Lord! Give a joyous shout in honor of the Rock of our salvation!”
Psalm 95:1 (TLB)
The Lord gave me a beautiful picture this morning of the momentous sound joy makes when freedom, grace, and peace collide. What a glorious shout of joy! Can you see it?
I then turned to the concordance in my NIV Bible and looked for scripture with “shout for joy.” Would you believe I found 37 times this phrase was used? There’s something to the action we are called to do in praise of our brilliant King, Jesus!
What if you don’t feel joy and certainly don’t feel like shouting for joy? Is this you right now? The truth about joy is that it goes way beyond your feelings. It’s foundational. Think of it as living underneath your feelings as a support to strengthen you. Selah.
In light of our salvation and all Jesus has done for us, there is plenty to sing and shout about. Please join me in doing a little “shouting” today. “Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” Psalm 100:1-2 (NIV)
