Day 39 "You Are A Child Of God"
Good Morning Beauties!
“Child of God” - there is no better title in the world. In this day and age of striving for success, we often forsake our life with God to gain a certain position. At the end of your life, will it matter what title you held on Earth? Will that title transport to Heaven? The only title that matters is Child of God.
I remember the feeling I had several years ago when I had great success with my company. My first year out I was awarded “Rookie of the Year, “ which was followed by “Manager of the Year.” It was a title I worked very hard for - I had pretty much dedicated my life (and health) for that title. Once I was awarded it, I felt proud and accomplished for about 5 minutes, then I returned to my hotel room and all I remember was feeling empty and lonely. Gaining the title had not satisfied me like I had imaged it would. What a let down.
In my experience, the only time I have felt completely satisfied is when I’m closest to God. His presence is unlike anything in this world, and is the only thing that makes me feel whole. King David knew the value of his relationship with God and wrote about it in Psalm 63. “O God of my life, I’m lovesick for you in this weary wilderness. I thirst with the deepest longings to love you more, with cravings in my heart that can’t be described. Such yearning grips my soul for you, my God! I’m energized every time I enter your heavenly sanctuary to seek more of your power and drink in more of your glory. For your tender mercies mean more to me than life itself. How I love and praise you, God! Daily I will worship you passionately and with all my heart. My arms will wave to you like banners of praise. I overflow with praise when I come before you, for the anointing of your presence satisfies me like nothing else. You are such a rich banquet of pleasure to my soul.”
Is being a Child of God enough? Does the relationship with Him satisfy your every need? Selah.
Love and Blessings,
